Job summary

iTeach Schools, based in Pune and Navi Mumbai, exists to raise the quality of schooling for students from low-income communities across India.

We seek a dedicated teacher who will teach subjects, mentor students, and support school projects, with a focus on learning and joy. Prerequisites include a Bachelor's degree (and preferably B.Ed); teaching experience in secondary grades is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with strong academic and holistic performance.
• Prefer: B Ed Degree.
• Prefer: Teaching experience in a secondary grade for 1-2 years.

Responsibilities

• Teach one or two subjects to your class; conduct regular tests and feedback.
• Mentor nearly 15-20 students throughout the year; develop strong study habits and attendance.
• Collaborate with Senior Teachers to implement school projects and mentor new teachers.

Key Responsibilities

A teacher at iTeach Schools wears multiple hats to ensure an excellent education for their students. The three different parts of the role are:

Teaching your subject (60% time)

• Teach one or two subjects of your expertise to your class.
• Conduct regular tests and assessments to monitor learning and give feedback to students.
• Build a positive and strong school culture with a focus on learning and joy.
• Collaborate with parents of the students through regular meetings to ensure their active involvement.

Mentoring students (20% time)

• Mentor nearly 15-20 students throughout the year.
• Develop ways to ensure that these students have strong study habits, high attendance, and the drive to excel -share these plans with all teachers across the ecosystem.

Help with school projects (20% time)

• Collaborate with Senior Teachers to implement school projects such as Hobby Clubs, Career Awareness, Annual Day, Sports Day, etc.
• Use these opportunities to strengthen your leadership skills and mentor new teachers.

Compensation and Benefits

We take pride in offering competitive compensation and benefits commensurate with the candidate's education and work experience. The salary range for this position ranges from 36k - 50k pm (CTC).
