Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in secondary circuit design for power systems.
• Strong knowledge of protection relays, control systems, and SCADA integration.
• Familiar with IEC/IEEE standards and client specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop secondary electrical circuits for power systems.
• Prepare detailed drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs using CAD.
• Perform calculations and simulations for protection coordination and relay settings.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to integrate systems.

• Participate in FAT and SAT of secondary equipment.
• Troubleshoot design issues during execution and commissioning.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Design and develop secondary electrical circuits for various power systems, including substations, transmission lines, and industrial facilities.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and bill of materials (BOMs) using CAD software.
• Perform calculations and simulations for protection coordination, relay settings, and control logic.
• Collaborate with primary design engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to integrate secondary systems with overall project requirements.
• Conduct technical reviews and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and client specifications (e.g., IEC, ANSI, IEEE).
• Participate in factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT) of secondary equipment.
• Troubleshoot design issues and provide technical support during project execution and commissioning phases.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for project deliverables.

Your Background

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in secondary circuit design for power systems.
• Strong understanding of protection relays, control systems, and SCADA integration.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., E3, EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, ) for electrical design.
• Familiarity with relevant international and national electrical standards and codes.
• Experience with protection coordination studies and relay setting calculations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
