Job summary

Access Healthcare in Chennai seeks a Software Quality Assurance professional to ensure product quality across project lifecycles. You will plan, design, and execute tests, track defects, and coordinate with developers and analysts to validate requirements and release readiness.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in QA, strong knowledge of SDLC/STLC, hands-on testing across functional, integration, regression, and UAT, plus good communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or software testing.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and testing methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with functional, integration, regression, system, and UAT testing.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps or similar QA tools.
• Basic SQL and database validation knowledge.
• Experience in API testing or test automation is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work cross-functionally.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review business and technical requirements to ensure they are clear, complete, and testable.
• Prepare test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on project requirements.
• Execute functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing as required.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects through to closure.
• Ensure defects are properly prioritized and communicated to the relevant development teams.
• Validate fixes and perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not impacted.
• Maintain accurate testing documentation, reports, and quality records.
• Monitor testing progress, defect status, and overall product quality.
• Identify potential quality risks and recommend appropriate preventive or corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with defined QA processes, standards, and procedures.
• Support release activities by providing testing status, quality metrics, and release recommendations.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to resolve quality issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and quality practices.
