Job summary

Capco, a Wipro company, is hiring a SDET Automation Test Engineer with Java & Playwright. The role requires a minimum of 5 years in automation testing across Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, or Gurugram. Immediate joiners preferred for in-person discussions.

You will work on automation strategy, UI/API testing, and CI/CD processes in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Experience with Java collections, exceptions, and file I/O.
• Proficiency in UI automation using Selenium or Playwright.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation test frameworks and scripts.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and integrate with DevOps tooling.
• Collaborate with developers and QA to ensure test coverage and reliability.
• Analyze failures and diagnose root causes to improve automation stability.

Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts, experience with Java collections, exceptions, and file I/O Testing frameworks: Junit/TestNG Test Automation IDE: Selenium/Playwright for UI automation Proficiency in SQL for writing and executing queries Solid understanding of Rest Assured for API Testing, understanding of HTTP methods, Status Codes, and JSON/XML parsing Strong expertise with Jenkins for CI/CD Competence in using Git and GitHub for source code management

Testing frameworks: Junit/TestNG - hands-on knowledge in any of these 2 technologies should be good Test Automation IDE: Selenium/Playwright for UI automation - hands-on knowledge in any of these 2 technologies should be good Familiarity with build tools like Maven or Gradle for project dependency management and build automation Familiarity with IDEs (e.g. Visual Studio Code, IntelliJ, etc.) Good understanding of Linux systems and command-line tools Ability to work effectively in a DevOps environment where Dev and QA collaborate closely Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and analytical skills Strong oral and written communications skills Constantly strive to learn new technologies and look for ways to stay up to date in this rapidly changing industry
