Job summary

M2P Fintech, headquartered in Chennai, seeks a DevOps Platform Engineer to design, deploy and operate scalable cloud infrastructure across multiple providers. You will implement CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and monitoring while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable software services.

You will work in an agile environment, focusing on automation, security, and resilience. Prior fintech exposure is a plus, and strong scripting skills are essential for day‑to‑day operations.

Qualifications

• B.E or B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 2 years of DevOps, cloud or infrastructure experience (internships count).
• Hands-on with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP or OCI).
• Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.
• Familiar with CI/CD and GitOps tools like GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Basic experience with Terraform or other IaC tools.
• Understanding of IAM, networking fundamentals and secrets management.
• Ability to write Bash or Python scripts and work on Linux.
• Exposure to observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, operate and improve cloud infrastructure across multiple providers with Kubernetes and container platforms.
• Support deployments in company-managed and customer-hosted environments with development and customer infra teams.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for automated delivery.
• Provision and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
• Set up and maintain monitoring, logging and alerting for early issue detection.
• Support security and compliance, integration of security checks into pipelines and audits.
• Keep platforms healthy with upgrades, backups and disaster-recovery readiness.
• Document fixes and processes as playbooks; suggest automation improvements.
• Launch projects through hands-on implementation and drive infra improvements.
• Shape M2P cloud and infrastructure practice with cross-functional collaboration.
• Ensure and build controls for continuous delivery across all stages.
• Monitor and ensure technical deliverables meet expectations on projects.
• Act as a leader on DevOps, cloud and infrastructure engineering.
• Suggest innovative solutions to constraints and policies.

About the Role

M2P Fintech is looking for DevOps Platform Engineers who will take a multifaceted approach to helping teams achieve technical excellence by assessing challenges from both a technical and operational perspective. You will take the responsibility for designing and implementing infrastructure that delivers and runs software services and help internal teams to adopt a DevOps mindset, breaking away from rigid, more traditional ways of working and pivoting to a more customer-focused and agile approach.

As part of a cross functional team, you will be working in a fast-paced and agile work environment delivering quality and innovative solutions that have immediate business impact. You need to take the challenges and ownership that comes while developing a complex system. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility.

What Will You Do in this Role

• Deploy, operate and improve cloud infrastructure across multiple cloud providers, working with Kubernetes and container-based platforms.
• Support application deployments in both company-managed and customer-hosted environments, working closely with development and customer infrastructure teams.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for reliable, automated delivery of applications.
• Provision and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
• Set up and maintain monitoring, logging and alerting so that issues are caught early and resolved quickly.
• Support security and compliance work, including integrating security checks into pipelines and remediating findings from audits and assessments.
• Keep platforms healthy through upgrades, backups, disaster-recovery readiness and troubleshooting of production issues.
• Document fixes and processes as playbooks and suggest improvements and automation that reduce manual effort.
• Launch projects through hands‑on implementation, evaluate and drive improvements to existing infrastructure.
• Help shape and build M2P cloud and infrastructure practice through collaboration with business development, marketing and capabilities development teams.\
• Ensure and build the controls and processes for continuous delivery of applications, considering all stages of the process and its automations.
• Monitor and ensure that technical expectations of deliverables are consistently met on projects.
• Act as a leader on DevOps, cloud and infrastructure engineering.
• Adjust and suggest innovative solutions to current constraints and business policies.

What Youll Need to be Successful in this Role

• B.E or B.Tech in Computer Science or any equivalent degree.
• 02 years of experience in DevOps, cloud or infrastructure engineering (internships and strong project work count).
• Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP or OCI) and a willingness to work across several.
• Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and GitOps tools such as GitHub Actions ArgoCD.
• Basic experience with Terraform or another Infrastructure as Code tool.
• Understanding of cloud IAM, networking fundamentals (load balancers, DNS, TLS, firewalls) and secrets management.
• Ability to write scripts in Bash or Python and comfort working on Linux.
• Exposure to observability tools
• Interest in how AI and ML workloads run in production, and comfort using AI assistants and tooling in day-to-day engineering.
• Clear communication with developers, security teams and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently with guidance and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in Banking, Fintech or a related field is a plus.
