Job summary

American Airlines is expanding its technology presence at the Hyderabad Tech Hub. We seek a Scrum Lead to coach agile teams, promote transparency, and enable high-performing cross-functional delivery.

You will guide Product Owners and teams to adopt empirical planning, maintain backlog health, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced aviation technology environment. With 4+ years in agile settings, you will support scaling practices, CI/CD adoption, and servant leadership while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in an agile environment and coaching agile methodologies.
• Proven ability to promote a collaborative team environment across functions.

Responsibilities

• Optimize the flow of value from generation of ideas to release.
• Coach teams to create high-value items while reducing rework and waste.
• Promote transparency on barriers to change and seek assistance to address impediments.
• Enable teams to practice Professional Scrum and other agile techniques.
• Foster continuous learning, experimentation, and improvement to reach peak performance.
• Coach teams to understand the why and adopt new ways of working.
• Serve as internal trainers contributing to learning and development.
• Coach Product Owners/Managers in empirical product planning and backlog health.

What you’ll do:

All you’ll need for success:

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
• 4+ years of relevant work experience in an agile environment
• Experience coaching agile methodologies to team and stakeholders
• Skills and knowledge of servant leadership, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment and increasing transparency
• Proven ability to promote a team environment and collaborate cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience:

• Experience with driving adoption of Agile methodologies, processes and tools in a cross-functional organization
• Superior analytical, problem solving and communication skills
• Demonstrated experience with continuous integration/delivery
• Participation in scaled agile frameworks
• Scrum Master Certification (CSM, PSM, SSM, or other scrum certification)
