American Airlines' Hyderabad Tech Hub is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable digital solutions that empower customers and our global team members.

You will write, test, and document code, debug runtime issues, and collaborate across teams to enhance reliability, security, and performance using Java, SpringBoot, microservices, and Angular/Typescript/Node.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 1+ years of production experience designing large-scale solutions
• Proficiency in Java, Spring/SpringBoot, and microservices
• Knowledge of Angular/Typescript/Node for frontend integration

Responsabilidades

• Writes, tests, and documents technical work products (e.g., code, scripts, processes) according to organizational standards
• Produces high-quality technical work that is clear, concise, tested, and easily understood
• Debugs design-time and run-time problems and identifies issues in dependencies or interactions with other services
• Designs new implementations and provides enhancements to architectures, maintaining reliability, resiliency, security, and performance
• Identifies and corrects issues affecting operational reliability, stability and performance based on telemetry
• Follows secure coding practices and looks for vulnerabilities during code reviews
• Identifies opportunities for automation to improve team performance
• Simplifies where possible

ALL YOU’LL NEED FOR SUCCESS:

Minimum Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
• 1+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments

Preferred Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
• Airline Industry experience

Skills, Licenses, and Certifications:

• Experience with the following technologies:
• Programming Languages: Java
• Frameworks: Spring/SpringBoot, Microservices, RestApi
• Front End Technologies: Angular/Typescript/Node
• Ability to concisely convey ideas verbally, in writing, in code, and in diagrams.

Language / Communication Skills:

• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levels within the organization
