Job summary

Torrent Diagnostics Limited in Surat is seeking a skilled lab technician to support sample management, testing, and data recording in a compliant, safety-driven environment.

Preferred candidates hold a Master or Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Biology or Microbiology with proven lab experience; NABL audit knowledge is a plus. Responsibilities include maintaining equipment and accurate documentation in the LIMS.

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology or a related field.
• Experience working as a lab technician is preferred.
• NABL Audit knowledge will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Sample collection, receiving, labeling, and analysing samples or substances using correct testing equipment.
• Designing and executing laboratory testing in line with standard procedures; recording observations and interpreting findings.
• Calibrating, cleaning, and maintaining laboratory machinery to ensure accuracy.
• Documenting test results in LIMS or other databases.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations; proper disposal and waste handling.
• Inventory control: monitoring stock levels and ordering lab supplies.
• Report findings to scientists or supervisors.

Role & responsibilities

Sample Management: Collecting, receiving, labelling, and/or analysing samples or substances using the correct testing equipment, when necessary.

Testing & Analysis: Designing and executing laboratory testing in line with standard testing procedures, recording observations, and interpreting findings.

Equipment Maintenance: Calibrating, cleaning, and repairing laboratory machinery to ensure accuracy.

Data Recording: Documenting test results in LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) or other databases.

Safety & Compliance: Adhering strictly to health and safety regulations (e.g., handling hazardous materials, proper disposal,). Knowledge of QA/QC Protocol/NABL Guidelines Inventory Control: Monitoring stock levels and ordering lab supplies.

Communication: Ability to report findings to scientists or supervisors.
