CACTUS provides expert language editing services to help researchers publish their work. As an Editor, you will leverage your subject-matter expertise to evaluate and refine manuscripts, ensuring scientific accuracy and language clarity.

Based in Jaipur, you will review and edit manuscripts, ensure terminological accuracy, and format for journals to help researchers publish worldwide. This role offers flexible work and ongoing access to editorial resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in a specialized subject area.
• Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate scientific content and ensure discipline-specific accuracy.
• Excellent written English and attention to detail.
• Prior experience in scientific editing, peer review, or academic publishing would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review and edit manuscripts to improve clarity, coherence, and readability while preserving authors' meaning.
• Ensure subject-specific terminology and scientific arguments are accurate and appropriate for the audience.
• Improve presentation of complex findings to enhance publication readiness.
• Edit manuscripts to meet high academic writing standards and format for target journals as required.

Job Responsibilities

• Review and edit manuscripts to improve the clarity, coherence, and readability of scientific content while preserving the authors’ intended meaning.
• Ensure that subject-specific terminology, conventions, and scientific arguments are accurate, consistent, and appropriate for the target audience.
• Improve the presentation of complex research findings to enhance their communication and publication readiness.
• Edit manuscripts such that the final text meets the highest standards of academic writing, is free of unclear, illogical, or unidiomatic sentences. Adhere to job-specific guidelines and format manuscripts according to the target journal when required.
