JOB SUMMARY

Within the Availity infrastructure team, we’re confronting and solving complex and high-stakes challenges as we design, build, and operate the largest real-time information network in healthcare. As a member of the Network Delivery team, the Network Engineer II will support all aspects of connectivity within and between Availity’s data centers, corporate offices, and cloud environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Engineering and support of network related on-premises and cloud infrastructure
2. Observability, reporting, and health checks of network related infrastructure
3. Participation in network infrastructure related incident resolution, reporting, and tracking
4. Documentation of network infrastructure related policies, procedures, and current state
5. Collaboration with internal and external team members
6. Support escalation incidents and support on-call duty requirements
7. Adherence to team and organization processes and procedures
8. Maintain awareness of industry trends and issues with on-premises and cloud networking technologies

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. Three or more years supporting enterprise scale network infrastructure
2. Two or more years supporting network infrastructure in a major cloud
3. Two or more years utilizing network automation, scripting, and network as code tools
4. Two or more years supporting observability of network infrastructure
5. Enterprise level experience supporting, and troubleshooting:

Dynamic Routing
Load Balancing
Network Access Control
Proxy
VPN
Wireless
Zone Based Firewall

1. Experience with Agile/Scrum
2. Associate level network related certification required
3. Professional level network related certification strongly preferred
4. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technology field or equivalent in comparable work experience

1. Broad knowledge of enterprise infrastructure concepts and best practices
2. Professional level network engineering knowledge

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or Telecommunications.

Cisco CCNA CCNP Security or Juniper JNCIA-Junos/JNCOS-Sec.
