Bliss International School is looking for a School Counsellor to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey.

Responsibilities
  • Student Counseling: Provide one-on-one counseling to students, addressing a wide range of issues, including academic challenges, personal problems, social conflicts, and emotional concerns
  • Career Guidance: Assist students in exploring their interests, strengths, and career goals
  • Offer guidance on college and career choices, including college admissions and scholarship applications
  • Academic Support: Monitor and assess students' academic progress, identify learning difficulties, and collaborate with teachers and parents to develop strategies for improvement
  • Personal Development: Promote students' personal growth and well-being by helping them develop essential life skills, such as problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution
  • Crisis Intervention: Respond to crisis situations within the school community, providing emotional support and connecting students to appropriate resources when needed
  • Group Counseling: Conduct group counseling sessions on topics such as stress management, study skills, peer relationships, and career exploration
  • College and Career Readiness: Organize college fairs, career workshops, and college application assistance programs to prepare students for post-secondary education and careers
  • Conflict Resolution: Mediate and resolve conflicts between students and between students and staff, fostering a positive and inclusive school environment
  • Parent and Teacher Collaboration: Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators to support student success and address individual and systemic issues
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Psychology, Counselling, or Child Development.
  • Certification in counselling (preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in school counselling.
  • Experience handling student wellbeing, emotional support, and career guidance in an IB setting.
