Citigroup Inc. is seeking a Data/Information Analyst to support North America and APAC consumer banking information management with analytics, dashboards, and data-driven insights.

You will work on reporting solutions, KPI analysis, and campaign data, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. The role requires 2+ years of analytics experience, strong communication, and mentorship skills, with a focus on SAS, SQL, Python, and Tableau.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/computer science/Statistics with 2+ years of experience delivering analytical solutions.
• Ability to identify, articulate and solve complex business problems and present to management in a structured form.
• Strong analytical approach to open-ended problems and building solutions.
• Hands-on experience in SAS, SQL. Python preferred.
• Hands-on experience in Tableau or similar BI tool.

The North America and APAC Consumer bank information management team provides business insights, strategies, recommendations, retrospective reporting, modelling and GenAI support to facilitate faster data driven decisions. The team helps do this based on lots of data exploration, thorough understanding of business needs backed by structured thinking.

Few notables among the multiple areas that we work in:

• Drive Reporting Solutions & Insights: Relevant insights to the business that can accelerate strategic decisions effectively pointing towards early data trends and their drivers
• Business critical Dashboards: self-explanatory and detailed dashboards to review the portfolio health with the business leaders with analytical backing of particular trends of interest
• Assessing Campaign Impacts: Understand the campaign setup and through data exploration get the actual campaign performance in terms of P&L. Using the data put together a solution to optimize the marketing spends based on campaign performance.
• Process Efficacy/Automation: Periodically review existing process and identify potential ways to streamline the process
• Data Visualization

What’s expected from you?

As a Data/Information Analyst, we are seeking a 2-5 years experienced analytics candidate who should be able to perform below behaviors in their day to day role:

• Client Obsession through structured thinking - Develop client centric insightful reporting solutions to accelerate strategic decisioning for the business. Individual should be able to have a holistic view of multiple businesses and develop analytics solutions accordingly.

• Analytic Project Execution - Own and deliver multiple and complex analytical projects. This would require an understanding of business context, deeper understanding of the business critical KPIs along with their behavior and impact, identifying trends and patterns with data
• Process Efficacy/Automation: Periodically review existing process and identify potential ways to streamline the process

• Stakeholder Management: Experience in stakeholder management across various functions and regions and should be able to effectively handle partner communications independently.
• Articulation & Presentation Skills: Clear articulation of your work to the leadership.
• Ability to coach and mentor juniors.

Skillset you should possess

The most important skill that our analyst should possess is their love for data and their eagerness for new challenges & solving new problems. Apart from these, they should also have the following skillset

Basic Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/computer science/Statistics from premier institutes with 2+ years of experience in delivering analytical solutions
• Ability to identify, clearly articulate and solve complex business problems and present them to the management in a structured and simpler form
• Demonstrate analytical approach to open ended problems and build solutions
• Must have strong hands-on experience in SAS, SQL. Experience in python would be preferred.
• Hands on experience in tableau or similar BI tool would be preferred.
• Experience working with large and multiple datasets, data warehouses and ability to pull data using relevant programs and coding.
• Should have excellent communication and inter-personal skills
• Multiple stake holder management

• Ability to guide and mentor Juniors

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in banking domain will be preferred.
