Job summary

Indusind Nippon Life Insurance is seeking a skilled SAS Programmer to design, develop, and implement SAS programs (Enterprise Guide) for data extraction and reporting. You will perform data analysis to uncover insights, ensure data integrity, and build dashboards for underwriting, claims, and actuarial teams.

The role requires strong SAS EG, Macro, and SQL skills, plus experience in data manipulation and statistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Stats/Math or related field.
• Proven experience as SAS Programmer (Enterprise Guide) in insurance or financial services.
• Proficiency in SAS EG, SAS Macro, and SAS SQL.
• Experience with data manipulation, statistical analysis, and report generation.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of life insurance products and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with Python, R, or SQL.
• Familiarity with Tableau or Power BI and data visualization.

• Data Analysis: Perform statistical analysis and generate reports to provide insights into business performance and trends.
• Data Management: Ensure data integrity and accuracy through rigorous validation and quality control processes.
• Reporting: Create and maintain detailed reports and dashboards for various departments, including underwriting, claims, and actuarial teams.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide solutions that align with organizational goals.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for SAS programs, processes, and data handling procedures
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve programming issues and data discrepancies efficiently.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry regulations and company policies regarding data handling and privacy.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus
• Proven experience as a SAS Programmer(Enterprise Guide), preferably within the insurance or financial services industry
• Proficiency in SAS EG(Enterprise Guide), SAS Macro, and SAS SQL
• Experience with data manipulation, statistical analysis, and report generation
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
