Daimler Truck Innovation Center India (DTICI) is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Technical Consultant to join a modern SAP landscape focused on Procurement & Supplier Management. You will contribute to stability, performance, and integration with external systems.

The role requires 12-16 years of SAP ABAP development experience in procurement settings, with strong ABAP OO, AIF monitoring, and interface skills. Hybrid model with CET hours and global collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance SAP functionality for Procurement & Supplier Management using ABAP/ABAP OO.
• Build, enhance, and maintain interfaces using IDoc, EDI, RFC, OData, REST/SOAP APIs, with SAP AIF-based monitoring and error handling.
• Configure SAP MM / S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement solutions in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Perform debugging, root cause analysis, performance optimization, and incident resolution.
• Create technical documentation and support testing, deployment, and go-live activities.
• Design and implement integration scenarios with suppliers and upstream systems.

Are you an experienced SAP ABAP Technical Consultant looking to work on a modern SAP landscape? Join our team and contribute to the stability and enhancement of business-critical supplier interfaces using cutting-edge SAP technologies, including S/4HANA, SAP AIF, SAP BTP, and RAP.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance SAP functionality for Procurement & Supplier Management using ABAP/ABAP OO.
• Build, enhance, and maintain interfaces using IDoc, EDI, RFC, OData, REST/SOAP APIs, with SAP AIF-based monitoring and error handling.
• Configure SAP MM / S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement solutions in collaboration with business stakeholders.

Required Skills

Functional Expertise

• Strong understanding of procurement processes and supplier integration.
• Experience working in the SAP MM / Procurement environment.

Technical Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience in ABAP and ABAP OO.
• Expertise in IDoc, EDI, RFC, OData/SAP Gateway, REST/SOAP integrations.
• Hands-on experience with SAP AIF, including interface implementation, monitoring, error handling, value mapping, and custom checks.
• Experience with enhancement techniques such as BAdIs, User Exits, Enhancements, and Customer Exits.
• Strong debugging and performance analysis skills using SQL Trace, Runtime Analysis, Code Inspector, and ATC.
• Familiarity with Agile (Scrum), Clean Code practices, transport management, and ITIL basics.

Good to Have

• SAP Ariba / SAP Business Network
• CDS Views, RAP, SAP BTP, side-by-side extensions
• EDIFACT/VDA mappings and automotive interfaces
• S/4HANA migration or conversion experience

Experience & Qualifications

• 12-16 years of SAP ABAP development experience, preferably in Procurement or Logistics.
• Strong background in interface development and application support.
• Procurement or Supply Chain domain knowledge is an advantage.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Opportunity to work with a modern SAP ecosystem including S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and SAP AIF.
• Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams in an international offshore delivery model.
• Hybrid work model with overlap to Central European (CET) business hours.
• Work closely with architects, business stakeholders, EDI teams, and external service providers.
