Job summary

Maersk is seeking a SAP E invoicing Engineer to drive the design and deployment of E invoicing within SAP S/4HANA, aligning with global finance and tax transformation. You will work on data conversion, testing, and production deployments, collaborating across ATR, OTC, PTP, ABAP, and interface teams.

You will participate in DevOps practices, support tax regulatory changes, and ensure solutions stay aligned with enterprise architecture and global templates, while delivering high quality outcomes

Qualifications

• 4+ years SAP E invoicing engineer experience.
• Hands on SAP S/4HANA and E invoicing module as functional consultant/engineer.
• Experience with SAFT implementation would be a plus.
• Experience with SAP BRIM, convergent invoicing is a plus.
• Open to DevOps, Agile/Scrum, and working across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Implement SAP E invoicing solution design in SAP S4 using E-document compliance module across Maersk business units.
• Collaborate with tax and finance teams for regulatory changes in SAP S/4HANA.
• Own E invoicing developments for tax compliance across Ocean and Logistics.
• Design and build/configure E invoicing interfaces with external validators and SAP EDoc modules.
• Operate in an Agile environment with product owners, architects, and developers to deliver backlog items.

Maersk is on multi-year program to revamp its technology and digital solutions footprint and as part of new strategy, SAP will act as the ‘digital core’ for company’s finance and tax processes enabled by SAP’s latest cloud and S4HANA offerings. SAP engineering team owns solution template, design, configuration, development, testing and deployment of the SAP solution in Maersk Ocean & Logistics. We are hiring SAP engineers in order to achieve the ambition of design, developed and supported by Maersk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Implementation of SAP E invoicing solution design in SAP S4 using E document compliance module, build, configuration, development, testing, data conversion, cutover, production deployments across Maersk business units. Operate in DevOps model, design, build, test, and support the solutions.
• Technology delivery partner with Maersk ATR, OTC, PTP, ABAP, Interface, Basis, Infrastructure, cloud security, cyber security teams for finance & tax platform and particularly Tax regulatory workstream
• Key member in Tax workstream, Owning E Invoicing developments for all tax compliance changes in Ocean and Logistics in SAP S4Hana solutions.
• Hands on solution design and build/configuration of SAP BRIM Convergent invoicing integration with E document compliance module.
• Hands on in developing E invoicing Interface solution together with Interface engineer, with Govt approved validator vendors and/or direct SAP EDoc module, SAP cloud platform interface with Tax authority portals.
• Work in an agile environment with product owners, architects, SAP developers/engineers and scrum master in executing on prioritized backlog
• Ensuring on-time delivery of solution by removing bottlenecks using expertise skills
• High quality of solution delivery ensuring design is followed during build and support
• Compliance to Enterprise architecture, global template guidelines and product roadmap
• Manage and follow product backlog, including prioritization of needs, creation of backlog items and mapping out dependencies in collaboration with users and customers
• Work closely with other Platform teams in Agile way of working; contribute to the planning, execution and review of each sprint and work with the team to refine and improve the development process.
• Evaluating product progress accountable for each stage of the development process and the final product. Inspect and evaluate product progress at each iteration, determine whether final product is acceptable. Performance of product in general, includes example value delivery, user satisfaction, performance of the support process, compliance, cost, stability of the product and deployment/roll-out performance.
• To be successful, you need to ensure deliverables match needs of stakeholders
• Ensure solution stays standard as much possible & promote reuse of existing functionalities

Who we are looking for:

• 4+ years of experience working as SAP E invoicing Engineer.
• Hands on experience in SAP S4Hana, E Document compliance module as functional consultant/engineer
• Experience in SAFT solution implementation would be a plus
• Experience with Indirect Tax derivation drivers
• Experience of working with SAP BRIM, convergent invoicing is a plus
• Experience in implementing large and complex SAP Projects, solution build, configuration and delivery to meet business requirements.
• Experience in working with finance business process owners in understanding business requirement, analysis, prototyping of solutions, configuration and design
• Experience in writing functional specifications for WRICEFs
• Candidate must be open towards working in DevOps Environment
• Experience in working with Agile, Scrum and waterfall delivery models
• Good problem solving, analytical & communication skills. Ability to work in demanding situations
• Collaborative mindset across business functions
• Flexibility to work on different time-zones
• Prior experience of working for shipping and logistics industry is a plus
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance or IT related discipline
