Taciti Consulting is seeking an experienced SAP PP / Plan-to-Manufacture Consultant to support and enhance manufacturing processes using SAP ECC or S/4HANA in Mumbai, India. The consultant will drive process design and configuration, optimizing the PTM landscape while providing production support. Candidates should have 6-12+ years of SAP PP experience, strong PTM process knowledge, and the ability to work cross-functionally. The role requires excellent communication and analytical skills and offers an opportunity to contribute to S/4HANA implementations.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP PP / Plan-to-Manufacture (PTM) Consultant to support and enhance end-to-end manufacturing processes within SAP ECC or S/4HANA. The consultant will be responsible for driving process design, configuration, production support, and integration across the PTM landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• PTM Process Design & Requirements
• Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements across the full Plan-to-Manufacture cycle.
• Define and optimize PTM processes including planning, material staging, execution, confirmations, and settlement.
• Conduct fit‑gap analysis and recommend SAP best practices for S/4HANA PTM.
• SAP PP Configuration & Implementation
• Configure core PP elements:
• Master Data (Material Master, BOM, Routing, Work Centers)
• MRP, Planning Strategies, Demand Management
• Production Orders, Order Types, Scheduling & Capacity Planning
• Support both Discrete Manufacturing and Process Manufacturing (PP-PI) if required.
• Shop Floor Execution (SFE)
• Support execution processes such as order release, material consumption, confirmations, and goods movements.
• Ensure seamless execution flow between Planning → Execution → Settlement.
• Integration within PTM
• Work closely with MM, QM, SD, WM/EWM, FI/CO, and PPDS teams to ensure end-to-end PTM alignment.
• Resolve cross‑functional issues impacting the manufacturing process.
• Support & Enhancements
• Provide L2/L3 support for production issues within PP and PTM scope.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare functional specifications for RICEFW objects in collaboration with ABAP teams.
• Data & Planning Activities
• Support master data creation/validation for materials, BOMs, routings, work centers, etc.
• Monitor MRP runs, review exceptions, and ensure accurate planning results.
• Support production scheduling and capacity leveling.
• Documentation & Training
• Prepare functional documentation (FDs), test scripts, SOPs, and configuration documents.
• Deliver end‑user training and support UAT cycles.
• Project Support
• Contribute to S/4HANA implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and system enhancements.
• Support cutover, master data load, go‑live, and hypercare activities.

Skills & Experience Required

• 6–12+ years of SAP PP experience with strong PTM process knowledge.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes: planning, scheduling, execution, and shop‑floor operations.
• Strong configuration experience in MRP, BOMs, Routings, Production Orders, and Capacity Planning.
• Hands‑on cross‑functional experience with MM, QM, SD, FI/CO, and EWM.
• Ability to write functional specs and collaborate with development teams.
