Job summary

Solventum, located in Bangalore, invites a Senior IT Analyst - SAP S/4HANA ABAP BTP to design, develop, and support SAP solutions across global programs. You will lead development activities, apply ABAP OO, CDS, RAP, and BTP capabilities, and extend S/4HANA with modern best practices.

Collaborating with functional teams and stakeholders, you will translate requirements into scalable technical solutions, drive automation, and contribute to AI-enabled development.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years SAP ABAP development experience.
• Strong hands-on ABAP OO, CDS Views, AMDP, RAP, BADIs, User Exits, Adobe Forms and SAP Workflow.
• Experience with SAP BTP services, Business Application Studio, CAP Model, Fiori integration, API development, and cloud extension frameworks.
• Strong understanding of S/4HANA architecture, HANA concepts, performance tuning, code remediation, and custom code adaptation.
• Experience integrating SAP systems using APIs, RFCs, IDocs, OData, Web Services; working within Agile, DevOps, Jira, and ServiceNow environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and consume OData Services, REST APIs, RFCs, IDocs, and enterprise integrations.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled hands-on Senior IT Analyst - SAP S/4HANA ABAP BTP with strong expertise in modern ABAP development, SAP S/4HANA extensibility, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, supporting, and enhancing SAP solutions while participating in global implementation and transformation programs. The ideal candidate should possess deep technical expertise and be capable of independently leading development activities across complex SAP landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support SAP S/4HANA custom developments using ABAP OO, CDS Views, AMDP, RAP, Enhancements, BADIs, User Exits, and Adobe Forms.
• Develop and optimize S/4HANA solutions leveraging HANA-native capabilities, code pushdown techniques, and performance optimization best practices.
• Build and consume OData Services, REST APIs, RFCs, IDocs, and enterprise integrations across SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Design and implement extensions using SAP BTP, including SAP Build, CAP, Business Application Studio, and Integration Suite.
• Participate in end-to-end implementation, rollout, upgrade, migration, and enhancement projects.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Perform technical analysis, solution design, code reviews, unit testing, SIT/UAT support, deployment, and hypercare activities.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root cause analysis for critical incidents.
• Ensure adherence to SAP development standards, transport management, security, and compliance requirements.
• Drive automation, innovation, and adoption of AI/GenAI-enabled development and operational efficiencies.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, development standards, and knowledge repositories.

Required Skills

• 8-10 years of overall SAP ABAP development experience, including significant exposure to SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong hands-on expertise in ABAP OO, CDS Views, AMDP, RAP Framework, OData Services, SAP Enhancements, BADIs, User Exits, Adobe Forms, Smart Forms, and SAP Workflow.
• Experience with SAP BTP services, Business Application Studio, CAP Model, Fiori integration, API development, and cloud extension frameworks.
• Strong understanding of S/4HANA architecture, HANA database concepts, performance tuning, code remediation, and custom code adaptation.
• Experience integrating SAP systems using APIs, RFCs, IDocs, OData, Web Services, and working within Agile, DevOps, Jira, and ServiceNow environments.

Preferred Qualifications Certifications

• Bachelor s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP for SAP HANA and/or SAP BTP certifications preferred.
• Experience in Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Medical Device, or Life Sciences industries is an advantage.
• Exposure to SAP Fiori/UI5 development and SAP Integration Suite is desirable.
• Experience supporting global SAP landscapes and large-scale transformation programs. Experience in global support, enhancements, and at least worked end-to-end S/4HANA implementation or rollout project.
• Hands-on developer capable of independently designing, coding, reviewing, and troubleshooting complex SAP solutions.
• Strong collaboration skills working with business teams, functional consultants, architects, and global delivery teams.
• Passionate about modern SAP technologies including S/4HANA, BTP, automation, and AI-driven development practices.
