Job summary

NTT DATA North America in Bangalore, India is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant to support SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments. You will bring 8–10 years of hands-on development experience, including at least one full-cycle S/4HANA implementation, and build cloud-ready, upgrade-stable solutions.

SAP ABAP Consultant – SAP ECC & S/4HANA

Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with 8‑10 years of experience in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments, including at least one full‑cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation. The candidate should have strong expertise in developing scalable, cloud‑ready and upgrade‑stable custom solutions within SAP S/4HANA, including SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of modern SAP development frameworks, SAP extensibility concepts, and SAP Fiori‑integrated backend development.

Technical Skills

Core ABAP Expertise

• Strong proficiency in ABAP and OO ABAP development
• Extensive experience with BADIs, BAPIs, ALE, RFC Calls, IDOCs, Classes & Methods (OO ABAP), Adobe Forms, Smartforms, SAP Scripts, Data Dictionary (DDIC), ALV Reports
• Experience with Implicit & Explicit Enhancements, Enhancement Framework
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills

S/4HANA & Advanced Development

• Hands‑on experience with CDS Views, OData Services
• Experience building REST API services using OData
• Experience designing and implementing custom extensions using SAP extensibility frameworks
• Knowledge of clean core principles and upgrade‑safe development
