NTT DATA Services in Bangalore is seeking a SAP S/4HANA MM Functional & Configuration Consultant to bridge business operations with SAP capabilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• 5+ to 8+ years of SAP functional consulting experience with focused expertise in SAP MM.
• Hands-on involvement in at least 2 full-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations or rollouts.
• Deep knowledge of S/4HANA architecture and MM integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead fit/gap workshops mapping Procure-to-Pay, inventory, and master data to SAP S/4HANA best practices.
• Configure SAP S/4HANA MM modules: organizational structure, purchasing, inventory management, pricing, and valuation.
• Design integration points between SAP S/4HANA and other modules or external platforms.
• Support data cleansing, mapping, and migration using tools like LSMW, MDG, or S/4HANA migration tools.
• Create FS, build test scripts, and lead SIT/UAT testing.
• Provide go-live support and hypercare, deliver end-user training and process guides.

Role Overview

The consultant bridges the gap between business operations and SAP S/4HANA system capabilities. They lead requirements gathering, perform system configuration, execute testing, and provide post-go-live support for supply chain, purchasing, and inventory modules.

• Capable of independently managing and delivering assigned process areas

Key Responsibilities

• Requirement Gathering & Design: Lead fit/gap workshops with business stakeholders to map Procure-to-Pay (P2P), inventory management, and master data processes to SAP S/4HANA best practices. [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]
• System Configuration: Configure SAP S/4HANA MM modules, including:
• Organizational structure (Purchasing organizations, groups, plants, storage locations)
• Purchasing (Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, RFQs, outline agreements, and release strategies)
• Inventory Management (Goods receipts, goods issues, transfer postings, physical inventory, and special stocks like subcontracting and consignment)
• Pricing procedures, condition types, and access sequences
• Automatic account determination and material valuation (including split valuation) [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]
• Integration: Design and manage integration points between SAP S/4HANA and other modules or external platforms (e.g., SD, FI/AP, PP, QM, WM/EWM, and SAP Ariba / Cloud Integration Gateway). [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]
• Data Migration & Cutover: Support data cleansing, mapping, and migration for material, vendor, and transactional data using tools like LSMW, MDG, or S/4HANA migration tools. [ 1 , 2 ]
• Testing & Documentation: Create functional specifications (FS) for ABAP custom developments, build test scripts, and lead System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]
• Go-Live & Hypercare: Provide deployment execution during cutover and intensive post-go-live stabilization support (hypercare). [ 1 , 2 ]
• Training: Deliver end-user training and build process flows, configuration guides, and operational documentation. [ 1 , 2 ]

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or Engineering. [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]
• Experience:
• 5+ to 8+ years of SAP functional consulting experience with focused expertise in SAP MM.
• Hands-on involvement in at least 2 full-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations or rollouts. [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]
• Technical & Functional Knowledge:
• Deep knowledge of S/4HANA architecture (e.g., Universal Journal integration with MM/FI, simplified data models).
• Strong command of Procure-to-Pay (P2P), 3-way matching, GR/IR reconciliation, and Invoice Verification.
• Ability to read/write functional specs and collaborate closely with technical/ABAP teams. [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]
• Certifications: SAP S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement / Materials Management certification is preferred. [ 1 ]
