Job summary

Linde Engineering in Vadodara, India seeks an SAP Project Controls Inhouse Consultant to strengthen our Systems and Processes organization. You will implement, optimize, and continuously develop project control processes, systems, and reporting across our international portfolio.

You will partner with Project Controls and Commercial teams to ensure transparency, reliable forecasting, and data-driven decisions, leveraging SAP PS, S/4HANA, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with SAP PS and SAP CO integration.
• 3+ years in project controls for EPC or industrial projects.
• Knowledge of forecasting and earned value management.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and customize SAP related project controls processes
• Develop and improve project control processes, related tools, and governance standards
• Support project teams to best execute planning and controlling of Cost, Schedule, Progress, Forecasts
• Design and help maintain management dashboards, KPIs, and reporting solutions
• Support implementation and optimization of project management and reporting systems
• Coordinate requirements between business stakeholders and IT teams
• Supporting further global SAP S/4HANA transformation and rollout activities
• Organize user training and provide expert support to project teams

About The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated SAP Project Controls Inhouse Consultant to strengthen our Systems and Processes organization. In this role, you will support the implementation, optimization, and continuous development of project control processes, systems, and reporting solutions across our international project portfolio.

You will act as a trusted partner to Project Controls and other Commercial teams, helping to ensure project transparency, reliable forecasting, and data-driven decision-making throughout all project phases. The role combines business process expertise, SAP Project System and other related technical know how, project control methodologies and digital transformation initiatives.

Note: Linde Engineering is already running on S/4 HANA

Your Responsibilities

• Analyse and customize SAP related project controls processes
• Develop and improve project control processes, related tools, and governance standards
• Support project teams to best execute planning and controlling of Cost, Schedule, Progress, Forecasts
• Design and help maintain management dashboards, KPIs, and reporting solutions
• Support implementation and optimization of project management and reporting systems
• Coordinate requirements between business stakeholders and IT teams
• Supporting further global SAP S/4HANA transformation and rollout activities

Your Profile

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
• Business Administration
• Finance
• Project Management
• Information Systems
• Or a comparable qualification

Professional Experience

• 3 years+ experience in (supporting) Project Controls and SAP Project Systems
• Proven track record in implementing and supporting SAP PS (and the SAP CO integration)
• Experience in EPC, industrial, engineering, construction, or plant projects is advantageous
• Understanding of forecasting, earned value management and project performance measurement

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• SAP PS (and CO) configuration and customizing knowledge
• Optional: SAP S/4HANA Project System experience
• Optional: SAP PRM & SAC knowledge
• Preferred: SAP ABAP knowledge / understanding
• Understanding of project accounting and percentage-of-completion concepts
• Experience supporting international project organizations and global rollouts
• Knowledge of digitalization and process automation initiatives is beneficial
