Orcapod Consulting Services is seeking a seasoned SAP S/4HANA Project Systems consultant for AMS support. The role focuses on PS/PTC processes, incident management, and cross-module integration with FICO, MM, and SD to ensure accurate project cost tracking and reporting.

The candidate should have 5–10+ years in SAP PS / Project Accounting, at least 2+ years in S/4HANA AMS support, and a BE/B.Tech. The position requires collaboration with global teams and ongoing system enhancements.

Responsibilities

• AMS Support Incident Management: provide L2/L3 support for SAP Project Systems (PS) and resolve incidents within SLAs
• Functional Expertise: support PS processes including WBS, networks, budgeting, costing, and reporting
• Integration Cross-Module Support: coordinate with FICO, MM, and SD for project-related activities
• Change Requests & Enhancements: analyze requirements, configure PS, prepare specs, and support testing
• Month-End/Period-End Activities: assist in closing and cost postings
• Stakeholder Collaboration: work with business users and project managers
• Documentation & Knowledge Management: maintain SOPs, knowledge base, audits readiness
• Continuous Improvement: identify opportunities to optimize PS processes and reporting

Description:

Role: SAP S/4HANA Project Systems (PS PTC) Consultant AMS Support

The SAP S/4HANA Project Systems (PS) Consultant is responsible for providing functional support, maintenance, and enhancements for Project-to-Control (PTC) processes within an AMS (Application Management Services) environment. The role involves handling incidents, supporting project lifecycle processes, ensuring system stability, and enabling smooth execution of project accounting and controlling activities in SAP S/4HANA.

Key Responsibilities

1. AMS Support Incident Management
   • Provide L2/L3 support for SAP Project Systems (PS) module
   • Resolve incidents, defects, and service requests within defined SLAs
   • Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable fixes
   • Ensure minimal disruption to project execution processes
2. Functional Expertise (Project-to-Control PTC)
   • Support key PS processes including:
   • Project definition and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
   • Network and activity planning
   • Project budgeting, planning, and forecasting
   • Cost allocation, settlement, and revenue recognition
   • Support project lifecycle activities from initiation to closure
   • Ensure accurate project cost tracking and reporting
3. Integration Cross-Module Support
   • Ensure seamless integration with:
   • Finance (FICO – cost tracking, settlement)
   • Procurement (MM – project purchase activities)
   • Sales (SD – project billing)
   • Troubleshoot cross-module issues affecting project execution
4. Change Requests Enhancements
   • Analyze business requirements and propose PS solutions
   • Configure system changes related to project structures and cost management
   • Prepare functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP teams
   • Support unit testing, integration testing, and UAT
5. Month-End / Period-End Activities
   • Support project-related financial closing activities
   • Ensure timely settlement of project costs
   • Validate project cost postings and reports
6. Stakeholder Collaboration
   • Work closely with business users and project managers
   • Provide functional guidance and support for project execution
   • Participate in governance meetings and service reviews
7. Documentation Knowledge Management
   • Maintain process documentation, configurations, and SOPs
   • Update knowledge base for recurring issues and solutions
   • Ensure audit and compliance readiness
8. Continuous Improvement
   • Identify opportunities to optimize project management processes
   • Enhance reporting, automation, and system performance
   • Support system upgrades and S/4HANA enhancements

Required Skills Experience

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA Project Systems (PS)
• Understanding of Project-to-Control (PTC) processes
• Experience in AMS support environment (incident/change management)
• Hands-on experience in:
  • WBS, networks, and project structures
  • Cost planning, budgeting, and settlement
  • Project reporting and analytics

Preferred Skills

• Experience in S/4HANA implementation or migration projects
• Knowledge of Project Billing / Revenue Recognition (SD integration)
• Exposure to SAP Fiori apps for Project Systems
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and tools (ServiceNow, Jira)

Experience Qualifications

• Experience: 5–10+ years in SAP PS / Project Accounting
• Minimum 2+ years in S/4HANA AMS support
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
