Job summary

JobCrexa seeks an experienced SAP PLM Functional Lead/Architect to lead enterprise-wide PLM transformation initiatives from Bengaluru. The role demands deep functional knowledge of SAP PLM processes, integration capabilities, and product compliance workflows, with hands-on delivery in recipe management or specification management and experience in solution architecture.

You will partner with global teams, mentor consultants, and drive BAU change requests, testing, cutover and hypercare.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of classification, workflows, and authorisation in PLM environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP PLM functional design and delivery.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced SAP PLM Functional Lead/ Architect with strong expertise in SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions to lead enterprise-wide PLM transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess deep functional knowledge of SAP PLM processes, integration capabilities, and product compliance workflows, along with experience in solution architecture, stakeholder management, and global implementations.

SAP PLM Functional Lead/ Architect (10+ Years)

Location: Bengaluru (Highly preferred)

Mode: Hybrid

• Demonstrable SAP PLM functional consulting experience, with hands-on delivery in Recipe Management and/or Specification Management, ideally including a lead or senior-consultant capacity.
• Practical experience delivering or supporting SAP S/4HANA solutions; S/4HANA 2022 experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of SAP EHS/PLM specification structures, property trees/value assignments, classifications, statuses, validity areas and authorisation concepts.
• Strong understanding of recipe header, formula, recipe version/alternate, plant recipe, BOM/material and calculation concepts.
• Experience designing custom SAP Fiori applications or enhancements and collaborating closely with SAPUI5, OData and ABAP developers.
• Ability to analyse complex custom code and logs through functional debugging, identify the failing business rule, and guide technical remediation.
• Experience with BRF+, workflow/My Inbox concepts, role/authorisation design, batch/background processing and mass-maintenance solutions.
• Proven capability in functional design, estimation, impact assessment, test design, UAT leadership, defect triage, cutover and hypercare.
• Experience in a global R&D, consumer goods, food, home/personal care, chemical or similarly data- and compliance-intensive environment.
• Experience with custom SAP PLM estates where standard functionality has been extended significantly.
• Knowledge of SAP Engineering Change Management, change masters, digital signatures, workflow approvals and audit controls.
• Knowledge of recipe/specification integrations with product information, labelling, costing, regulatory or downstream manufacturing processes.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum and DevOps delivery, including BAU change requests and production support.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to work independently, drive decisions across distributed teams, and mentor junior consultants.
• Relevant SAP certification in S/4HANA, PLM, EHS, Fiori or adjacent solution areas (preferred, not mandatory).
