Job summary

Thoucentric, based in Hyderabad, seeks an experienced Data Analyst specializing in SAP PLM to ensure high-quality, migration-ready PLM data. You will collaborate with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Supply, and IT to extract, validate, and structure PLM data from SAP and non-SAP sources.

Qualifications

• Strong background in ETL workflows, data readiness assessments, and ERP/PLM transformations.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst specializing in SAP PLM to ensure high-quality, compliant, and migration-ready Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) data. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams across R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Supply, and IT to extract, validate, and structure PLM-related data from SAP and non-SAP systems.

You will drive data management activities including extraction, mapping, cleansing, harmonization, and preparation for SAP PLM and S/4HANA. Leveraging ETL tools and GenAI-powered automation, you will accelerate data readiness, improve quality checks, and streamline documentation ensuring accurate, complete, and compliant data flows that support product development, lifecycle management, and regulatory alignment.

This role is ideal for professionals with deep SAP PLM expertise, strong data engineering skills, and a passion for governance and automation.

Key Responsibilities

Data Extraction & Preparation

• Execute structured, audit-ready data extracts from source systems.
• Consolidate, cleanse, and transform structured/unstructured data for migration readiness.
• Support ETL workflows including enrichment, mapping, and load preparation.

Data Migration

• Contribute to SAP PLM migration cycles (extract profile cleanse transform validate load).
• Build and maintain mapping specifications, transformation rules, and load templates.
• Ensure traceability with lineage documents, mapping logs, and validation reports.
• Partner with technical teams for trial loads, cutover, and post-load verification.

GenAI-Enabled Acceleration

• Use GenAI tools to automate metadata analysis, rule creation, and quality checks.
• Apply LLM-powered accelerators for faster data creation, mapping reviews, and impact assessments.
• Collaborate with SMEs to design reusable GenAI workflows for efficiency.

Data Governance & Documentation

• Maintain governance artifacts (Source Inventory Register, Data Change Log, lineage trackers).
• Enforce metadata standards, naming conventions, and structured documentation.
• Manage SharePoint/DMS repositories for controlled document storage.

Data Quality, Analysis & Reporting

• Perform profiling, gap analysis, validation, and cleansing for migration readiness.
• Develop dashboards and quality reports for leadership visibility.
• Identify root causes of data issues and drive remediation with stakeholders.

Audit Readiness & Compliance

• Ensure documentation accuracy and traceability across all data lifecycle activities.
• Provide structured, compliant artifacts to support internal and external audits.

Experience Required

• 8+ years in PLM data analysis within SAP and/or S/4HANA environments.
• Proven expertise in SAP PLM data migration, cleansing cycles, and cutover readiness.
• Experience in R&D, FMCG, pharma, manufacturing, or other GxP-regulated industries.
• Strong background in ETL workflows, data readiness assessments, and ERP/PLM transformations.

Skills for Success

Core Technical Skills

• Deep expertise in SAP PLM (Engineering Records, Specifications, BOMs, Recipes, Document Management).
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA master data (Materials, BOMs, Routings, Quality, Regulatory).
• Familiarity with SAP ECC, ECTR, DMS, BODs, and PLM-integrated tools.
• Proficiency in SAP tables, SQVI, SE16N, BAPIs, ETL platforms.
• Advanced analytical skills with Excel, Power BI, SQL, and preferably Python.
