Job summary

Shoppers Stop, based in Mumbai, seeks an experienced SAP MM Consultant (Retail) to lead functional support and enhancements within IS-Retail and S/4HANA environments. The role requires deep knowledge of Procure-to-Pay, inventory management, and master data management across retail processes.

You will work with Buying & Merchandising, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Store Operations, and Finance teams to implement new SAP MM processes, manage incidents, and ensure data integrity with cross-module

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in the Retail industry.
• Experience in SAP IS-Retail and S/4HANA implementations, support, and rollout projects.
• Strong understanding of Retail Supply Chain and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
• Experience working with cross-functional SAP modules such as SD, FI and CAR.
• Exposure to SAP IS-Retail processes including Article & Vendor Master, Assortment Management, Pricing Procedures and Merchandise Procurement.

Responsibilities

• SAP MM Functional Support & Enhancements; IS-Retail experience preferred.
• Configure and maintain SAP MM functionalities: Purchasing, Inventory Management, Goods Receipt & Goods Issue, Invoice Verification, Vendor Master, Release Strategies, Pricing Procedures, Stock Transfers, Replenishment.
• Provide day-to-day support for SAP MM across retail operations.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve SAP MM-related issues; manage incidents and changes within SLAs.
• Support business users in procurement, inventory management, goods movement, and vendor management processes.
• Gather requirements, document FSDs/BRDs, and suggest process improvements; enable new SAP MM processes.
• Collaborate with Buying & Merchandising, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Store Operations, and Finance teams.

The team operates in a collaborative, performance-driven environment, working closely with multiple business functions including Buying & Merchandising, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and IT.

Experience

• Gather, document, and analyze business requirements and prepare Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) and BRDs.
• Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities within SAP MM and retail supply chain operations.
• Support implementation of new business processes and system enhancements.

Technical & Professional Skills

• Post Graduate Degree/Diploma preferred
