Job summary

KION Business Services Polska is seeking a senior SAP DM/MES Developer in Pune to design, develop, implement, and continuously improve SAP Digital Manufacturing solutions. You will translate factory requirements into scalable digital solutions and ensure reliable performance within the IT and shop-floor landscape.

Responsibilities include developing SAP DM/MES objects, integrating with SAP S/4HANA and MES systems, and maintaining system documentation in Confluence.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing SAP DM/MES solutions.
• Strong knowledge of SAP DM/MES architecture and integrations.
• Hands-on programming experience in SAP DM/MES.
• Ability to create system documentation in Confluence.

SAP MES/DM Developer

Main Purpose of the Position – Senior Developer SAP DM

To design, develop, implement, and continuously improve SAP Digital Manufacturing (SAP DM) solutions that enable efficient, connected, and data-driven production processes. The position translates manufacturing and business requirements into scalable digital solutions, integrates SAP DM with the broader IT and shop-floor landscape, and ensures reliable system performance and continuous process improvement.

Key focus areas include:

• Developing and enhancing SAP DM applications, extensions, integrations, and APIs.
• Supporting production execution, operator guidance, resource and order management, traceability, quality, and shop-floor processes.
• Integrating SAP DM with SAP S/4HANA, SAP PP, SAP ME/MII, automation systems, machines, and other manufacturing applications.
• Designing scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions aligned with SAP standards and the overall IT architecture.
• Troubleshooting complex technical issues and ensuring system stability, performance, and data integrity.
• Collaborating with business, manufacturing, IT, and external partners in global projects.
• Contributing to testing, documentation, deployment, lifecycle management, and knowledge sharing.

Tasks and Qualifications:

• You will develop, create, customize and enhance SAP DM/MES objects and provide functional 2nd line production support.
• You will bring understanding of SAP DM/MES architecture, technical capabilities and limitations and do functional/technical consulting as needed.
• You have experience in advanced business application programming (DM/MES) for SAP Manufacturing.
• You will create system documentation including process representation of your own developments and customizations in Confluence.
