Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior SAP Oil & Gas Downstream Functional/Techno-functional Consultant to join its Global Delivery Services in Chennai. The role focuses on SDM, RFNO, and TSW with SAP S/4HANA implementations, and requires experience across fuel distribution, inventory reconciliation, and financial integration.

You will lead requirements, design solutions, integrate with FI/CO, support testing and production support, and mentor junior consultants in a globally delivered, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Senior SAP Oil & Gas Downstream Functional/ Techno functional Consultant with extensive experience in SAP SDM, RFNO, and TSW solutions. Proven expertise in fuel retail operations, secondary distribution, transportation scheduling, inventory reconciliation, dealer management, and financial integration. Strong background in SAP S/4HANA implementations, solution architecture, business process optimization, testing, deployment, and production support for global Oil & Gas organizations

Your Key Responsibilities

Design and Delivery in SAP Downstream projects

• IS OIL SDM (Secondary Distribution Management)
• Lead requirements gathering and solution design for fuel and lubricant distribution operations.
• Configure and support dealer, distributor, and customer sales processes.
• Design automated order-to-cash processes including:
  • Order Management
  • Delivery Processing
  • Billing & Invoicing
  • Settlement & Reconciliation
• Support distributor inventory management and stock reconciliation.
• Enable exception-based workflow processing and approval mechanisms.
• Integrate SDM transactions with SAP Finance (FI-CO).
• Develop reporting and analytics for sales, inventory, and financial performance.
• RFNO (Retail Fuel Network Operations)
  • Implement retail site master data and operational processes.
  • Configure fuel inventory and wet-stock management.
  • Integrate retail site operations with POS and Third-party systems.
  • Manage dealer commission and settlement processes.
  • Improve retail operational visibility through reporting and dashboards.
• TSW / TD (Trader's & Scheduler's Workbench)
  • Configure hydrocarbon transportation and scheduling processes.
  • Support bulk fuel movement through transport modes
  • Configure nominations, scheduling, ticketing, and stock transfer processes.
  • Support inventory and quantity tracking across the supply chain.
  • Design transportation planning and scheduling solutions.
  • Integrate TSW with SD, MM, FI, and RFNO processes.
  • Support loss/gain management and inventory reconciliation.

Project Responsibilities

• Conduct business workshops and fit-gap analysis.
• Prepare Functional Specifications (FS).
• Review Technical Specifications (TS).
• Lead solution design discussions.
• Support data migration activities.
• Execute SIT, UAT, and regression testing.
• Manage cutover planning and go-live activities.
• Provide hyper care and production support.
• Guide junior consultants and offshore teams.
