Job summary

Lonza Hyderabad is seeking a Professional IT Application Expert to support Sales & Operations Planning solutions (SAP IBP, APO PPDS, OMP). You will partner with global planning teams to design and implement demand, supply, and production planning processes, aligning IT delivery with business requirements.

This is an office-first role with 20% remote work. You will lead configuration, testing, data migration, and user training, ensuring GMP/GxP compliance and governance across global sites.

Qualifications

• Experience with SAP IBP, APO PPDS, and/or OMP planning solutions.
• Translate business requirements into IT planning solutions.
• Experience in regulated GMP/GxP environments preferred.

Location: Hyderabad, India

The actual location of this job is in Hyderabad, India.

Join our Global IT Center of Excellence team as an IT Application Expert supporting Sales & Operations Planning solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge SAP planning technologies, enabling global demand, supply, and production planning processes while driving digital transformation across the organization.

This is an officefirst role. Working together in person supports close, realtime collaboration and team alignment, enabling us to deliver our best work. You will work primarily in the office, with the flexibility to work remotely for 20% of your time (one day per week).

What you will do:

• Act as an IT Business Partner supporting SAP IBP, SAP APO PPDS, and OMP solutions across global planning functions.
• Design and implement demand, supply, and production planning solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Collaborate with global business stakeholders, SMEs, and cross-functional IT teams to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.
• Lead system configuration, functional design, testing, data migration, and user training activities.
• Ensure adherence to global standards, governance frameworks, and quality/GMP compliance requirements.
• Provide third-level support for complex incidents and contribute to resolving critical system issues.
• Mentor external consultants and contribute to continuous improvements, innovation, and adoption of new technologies such as analytics and automation tools.

What we are looking for:

• Strong experience in SAP IBP, SAP APO PPDS, and/or OMP planning solutions.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into IT solutions in supply chain planning domains.
• Solid understanding of demand planning, supply planning, and production planning processes.
• Experience working in regulated environments (GMP/GxP) is preferred.
• Degree in Engineering or a related field; additional business qualifications are an advantage.
• Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills in a global environment.
• Self-driven, accountable, and motivated individual with a continuous improvement mindset.
