Job summary

PwC India Acceleration Center is seeking a SAP Functional Testing Manager to lead client testing efforts across SAP modules, ensuring robust test strategies and timely delivery. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP functional testing workstreams across client engagements and coordinate deliverable timelines with project leads.
• Manage testing plans, estimates, and execution activities for functional, systems integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Direct teams in the creation, review, and maintenance of test cases, test scripts, defect logs, and testing documentation.
• Oversee defect triage, root cause review, and retesting to support timely resolution across release cycles.
• Apply quality engineering methods and testing tools to assess application functionality, integrations, and business process performance.
• Coach junior staff on testing methods, issue tracking, and documentation standards while providing clear review feedback.
• Evaluate system changes, process impacts, and business requirements to identify testing risks and gaps.
• Build relationships with client and internal stakeholders to align testing activities with milestones and priorities.

As a SAP Functional Testing Manager you will lead client support testing efforts within our Software and Product Innovation practice, guiding the planning and delivery of testing activities that help validate SAP solutions before they move into production. As a Manager you will lead teams, coach junior staff, manage client accounts, and take ownership of workstreams while applying sound judgment, business knowledge, and a practical approach to quality, timelines, and deliverables. In this role at PwC, you will oversee test strategy, coordinate issue tracking, review results, and help shape clear reporting that supports informed decisions across complex SAP programs.

What You Must Have

• At least a Bachelor's degree
• At least 8 years of experience
• Oral and written proficiency in English required

What Sets You Apart

Core module expertise: Hands‑on functional knowledge in at least two modules, such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, EWM, or QM, including the ability to read and validate configuration rather than only execute scripts.

• End-to-end process knowledge: Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, and Plan-to-Produce, including cross-module touchpoints and period-end close.
• ECC to S/4HANA transition knowledge: Understanding of key conversion changes, including Business Partner, Universal Journal (ACDOCA), new asset accounting, and MATDOC. Brownfield, greenfield, and RISE with SAP exposure are preferred.
• Fiori and integration awareness: Functional familiarity with Fiori apps and roles, as well as interfaces to SAP and non‑SAP systems, including IDocs, OData/APIs, and SAP Integration Suite.
• Adjacent SAP solutions (good to have): Exposure to SuccessFactors, Ariba, IBP, or Concur.
• Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Computer and Information Science, Computer Engineering, Graphic Design, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Mathematics
• Demonstrating SAP functional testing leadership across client engagements
• Managing test planning, execution, and defect triage activities
• Driving quality engineering improvements through automation and process design
• Coaching teams on UAT, regression, and systems integration testing
