Job summary

Bristlecone is seeking an SAP FICO Lead Consultant to architect and lead the financial workstream for converting our legacy SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA in a global, cross-functional setting. You will drive the migration using SUM/DMO, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.

Ideal candidates have 10–12+ years in SAP FICO, Brownfield project leadership experience, and a proven ability to coordinate with Basis, Technical, and Business teams while managing stakeholder expectations.

• Led 2 end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Brownfield (System Conversion) projects.
• Deep knowledge of SUM/DMO migration steps and post-migration activities.

We are looking for an SAP FICO Lead Consultant immediately.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP FICO Lead Consultant with deep expertise in S/4HANA Brownfield Migration (System Conversion). In this role, you will architect, lead, and execute the financial workstream for converting our legacy SAP ECC system to SAP S/4HANA. You will work closely with Basis, Technical, and Business teams to ensure a seamless transition of configuration, history, and financial data utilizing the SAP Software Update Manager (SUM) / Database Migration Option (DMO) toolset.

Profile Requirements

Experience and Education

• Education: Master’s degree in finance or CA, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field. Professional accounting certifications (CPA, CMA, CA) are highly preferred.
• Overall Experience: Minimum of 10–12+ years of hands-on experience in SAP FICO.
• Migration Domain Expertise: Must have led functional tracks for at least 2 end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Brownfield (System Conversion) projects.

Technical & Functional Skills

• Thorough knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance Conversion steps (Preparation, Technical Migration via SUM, Post-Migration Activities).
• Strong understanding of SAP SUM / DMO architecture from a functional perspective (e.g., table pooling, downtime dependencies).
• Expertise in configuration changes for New Asset Accounting and Business Partner (CVI) conversion.
• Proficient with SAP implementation tools such as SAP Solution Manager (Solman), Jira, or SPM tool.

Soft Skills

• Strong leadership qualities to direct global, cross-functional project teams.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey technical migration risks to executive finance leadership
