Job summary

Kornferry in Pune district, Maharashtra, seeks an SAP FICO consultant with 3–6 years of hands-on FI experience to design and support SAP finance processes. You will collaborate with IT and business teams across global locations to gather requirements, document specs, and implement improvements.

You will handle integrations with MM/SD/CO and ensure compliance with regional tax and reporting standards, delivering high-quality changes and post-go-live support.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–6 years SAP FICO experience.
• Strong hands-on in SAP FI modules (GL, AP, AR, AA, Bank Accounting, Cash Management).
• Proven experience in SAP FI integrations with MM, SD, CO and external systems.
• Exposure to tax, compliance, and statutory reporting across regions.
• Experience with interfaces, IDocs and financial postings from third-party or upstream systems.
• Excellent SAP configuration knowledge and project process understanding.
• Experience writing detailed specs for development, testing, transports, and post-go-live support.
• Ability to work across geographies in a matrix setup; proactive and initiative-taking.
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication.

Role & responsibilities

• Design SAP FICO processes, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Bank Accounting and Cash Management
• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and process designs.
• Support SAP implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and production support, including defect resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage incident resolution, change requests, and enhancements, ensuring timely and highquality delivery.
• Collaborate closely with technical teams on interface design, enhancements, and performance optimization.
• Collaborates with Business Relationship Manager (BRM), business stakeholders and IT Product Owners / Managers to develop business requirements for product or system changes.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum of 3 to 6 years of SAP FICO experience required
• Strong handson expertise in SAP FI modules - General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Bank Accounting and Cash Management
• Proven experience in SAP FI integrations with MM, SD, CO, and external systems.
• Exposure to tax, compliance, and statutory reporting requirements across regions.
• Experience working with interfaces, IDocs, and financial postings from thirdparty or upstream systems.
• Should have strong SAP Standard configuration knowledge and good SAP project process knowledge.
• Experience in writing detail specifications for development of custom programs, testing, co-ordination of transports to production and post-go live support
• Ability to work with teams across geographical locations with various functional & technical expertise. Ability to work globally with diverse nationalities in a matrix environment
