Job description

We are currently looking for SAP Controlling Expert to join us at our Global Capability Centre in Gurugram. The candidate must ensure that Axalta's SAP Finance/Controlling processes are globally consistent, productive, effective, and legally compliant. The expert acts as a central conduit for the FIN IT platform into Corporate & Regional Finance, influencing corporate SAP directions and development on behalf of Axalta Corporate and regional offices. This role is a member of the Finance IT Team and will participate in the SAP ERP support organization, providing strong SAP technical leadership for Finance/Controlling to the businesses and operations. It is a key member of the FIN IT team, responsible for leading SAP skills development and support.

The role will represent the functional Finance/Controlling advisory and accounting teams on the ERP FIN architecture team, responsible for overall architecture decisions and solution design for the Axalta business. It will lead small to medium SAP expansion projects, drive efforts to stabilize and refine SAP Finance/Controlling solutions, preserve data integrity, and ensure adherence to corporate standards. The role ensures ongoing technical stewardship, integration, and functionality of legacy systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide SAP Finance process and technical leadership to Finance and Controlling functions.
2. Lead SAP Finance/Controlling function, translating business requirements into SAP S4 system solutions, including architecture and design. Collaborate with users to optimize SAP solutions.
3. Lead and participate in small to medium SAP expansion or value-add projects.
4. Manage SAP stabilization and enhancement tasks.
5. Ensure SAP data integrity and compliance with standards.
6. Work with regional leaders and SAP FIN IT network to implement integrated solutions supporting business and tax initiatives, process improvements, and supply chain transformation.
7. Support routine audits by gathering master and transactional data from FIN IT applications.
8. Facilitate integration of new acquisitions or functionalities, translating business needs into technical specifications, ensuring legal and financial controls are met.
9. Assist in daily SAP and regional Finance/Controlling operations and processes.
10. Train Finance/Controlling, Finance, and IT teams in SAP FIN skills and processes.

Key requirements:

1. 10+ years of relevant SAP Finance experience with an expert skill set.
2. 5+ years leading or managing an SAP FIN team or function.
3. Participation in one or more SAP implementations is desirable.
4. Technical proficiency in SAP Finance/Controlling modules including Product Costing, Material Ledger, Transfer Pricing, COPA, PCA, CCA, and Intercompany.
5. Extensive experience supporting medium to large SAP ERP systems and processes.
6. Strong integration experience with OTC, EWM, TM, Manufacturing, and RTP modules.
7. Knowledge of S4 HANA is required.
