Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a seasoned SAP BTP Lead in Bengaluru to define strategy, architecture, and delivery for S/4HANA transformation and extensions. You will drive integrations, data and AI capabilities, and govern scalable, secure BTP solutions aligned with SAP best practices.

You will lead global teams, mentor architects, and collaborate with enterprise architects, SAP functional teams, and business stakeholders to deliver on-time, within budget, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in SAP technologies with 3–5+ years in BTP leadership roles.
• Deep expertise in SAP BTP services and architecture.
• Strong understanding of S/4HANA architecture and clean core.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Integration Suite, APIs, OData, REST, SOAP.
• Knowledge of CAP, Node.js/Java and Fiori/UI5 preferred.

Role Overview

The SAP BTP Lead is responsible for defining and executing the strategy, architecture, and delivery of solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform to support S/4HANA transformation, innovation, and extension scenarios.

This role leads the design and implementation of extensions, integrations, data, and AI-driven capabilities, ensuring scalable, secure, and future-ready architectures aligned with enterprise and SAP best practices.

Key Responsibilities

BTP Strategy & Architecture

• Define enterprise-wide BTP strategy, roadmap, and governance model
• Design clean core‑aligned extension architecture for SAP S/4HANA
• Establish standards for side‑by‑side extensions, event‑driven architecture, and API‑first design
• Drive adoption of BTP services across lines of business

Integration & Extension Leadership

• Lead implementation of integrations using:
  • SAP Integration Suite
  • APIs, IDocs, OData, and event mesh
• Design and build side‑by‑side extensions using:
  • SAP Business Application Studio
  • CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model)
• Ensure scalable and reusable integration frameworks

Data & Analytics

• Architect data solutions leveraging:
  • SAP Datasphere
  • SAP Analytics Cloud
• Enable real‑time analytics, reporting, and data federation
• Define enterprise data models and governance standards

AI & Automation

• Drive adoption of AI services within BTP, including:
  • SAP AI Core
  • SAP AI Launchpad
• Enable intelligent automation, predictive analytics, and GenAI use cases
• Collaborate with business teams to identify AI‑driven innovation opportunities

Cloud & RISE Alignment

• Align BTP strategy with RISE with SAP transformation programs
• Enable extensions, integrations, and innovations in RISE environments
• Ensure optimal usage of BTP entitlements and services

Security & Governance

• Define BTP security architecture including:
  • Identity & access management
  • Role design and authorization
• Establish governance for:
  • Transport management
  • DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards

Delivery Leadership

• Lead global BTP delivery teams across onshore/offshore models
• Oversee solution design, development, testing, and deployment
• Ensure adherence to timelines, quality standards, and budgets
• Mentor developers and architects on BTP best practices

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with:
  • Enterprise architects
  • SAP functional teams
  • Business stakeholders
• Act as trusted advisor for BTP‑driven innovation and transformation
• Support pre‑sales, solutioning, and client presentations

Required Skills & Experience

Core Expertise

• 8–12+ years in SAP technologies with 3–5+ years in BTP leadership roles
• Deep expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform services and architecture
• Strong understanding of S/4HANA architecture and clean core principles

Integration & Development

• Hands‑on experience with:

• Understanding of GenAI integration scenarios (nice to have)

DevOps & Security

• Experience with:
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Transport management in BTP
• Knowledge of IAS, IPS, and role‑based access control

Nice‑to‑Have Skills

• Experience with SAP SuccessFactors, Ariba, or other SAP cloud solutions
• Knowledge of event‑driven architecture (Event Mesh)
• Exposure to multi‑cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• SAP certifications in BTP or Integration Suite
