Job summary

Hexaware Technologies in Bengaluru seeks an experienced backend SAP specialist to lead CAPM-based development and data modelling on SAP BTP. You will design OData services, implement HANA calculation views, and drive Neo-to-CF migrations with secure integration patterns.

You will collaborate with global teams, document architecture, and ensure unit and integration testing. Strong English communication and SAP certification are beneficial for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/IS/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years backend SAP experience with 3+ years in CAPM, HANA, and Neo-to-CF migrations.
• Proficient in CAPM-based development and OData service exposure.
• Strong HANA data modelling, calculation views, and SQLScript; performance tuning.
• Hands-on with Neo to SAP BTP Cloud Foundry migrations; tooling and cutover planning.
• Experience integrating CAPM/HANA with SAP Integration Suite and SAP AI Core.
• Proficient in unit/integration/performance testing; able to produce architecture diagrams & docs.
• English proficiency; SAP/ABAP familiarity is a plus; certifications are nice-to-have.

Requirements:

• Degree: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of backend development experience in SAP ecosystems, with 3+ years specifically in SAP BTP CAPM, HANA, and Neo-to-Cloud Foundry migrations.
• CAPM: Demonstrated proficiency in CAPM-based application development and OData service exposure.
• SAP HANA: Strong experience with data modelling, calculation views, and SQLScript; proven performance tuning skills.
• Migrations: Hands-on experience migrating applications from Neo to SAP BTP Cloud Foundry; familiarity with migration tooling and cutover planning.
• Integrations: Experience integrating CAPM/HANA with SAP Integration Suite and SAP AI Core or equivalent services.
• Testing and Documentation: Proficient in unit/integration/performance testing; able to produce architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
• Languages: Proficient in English (reading/writing technical documentation and communicating with global teams); additional SAP/ABAP familiarity is a plus.
• Certifications (nice-to-have): SAP Certified Application Development with CAPM, SAP HANA Certified, SAP Cloud Platform certifications.

Technical Proficiencies:

• SAP BTP components: CAPM, HANA XS, SAP Integration Suite, SAP AI Core, Cloud Foundry environment, Neo-to-CF migration patterns.
• Data modelling: Calculation views, graph modelling, columnar/row stores, data provisioning.
• SQLScript: Advanced SQLScript development and optimisation techniques.
• OData: Endpoint design, service exposure, and security considerations.
• DevOps and CI/CD: Familiarity with Git, test automation, build pipelines, and release management in a cloud environment.
• Security and Compliance: Identity management, role-based access control, data protection, and secure coding practices.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) integrations.
• Knowledge of Java for CAPM service implementations or microservice patterns.
