Position's General Duties and Tasks
Responsible for SAP Basis & Security Technical for Traditional AMS Services. Excellent communication skills.
Should have worked on Support projects, upgrade/ OS/DB migration.
Expertise in handing AMS Projects/tickets and should have a minimum of 3 end-to-end BW implementation experience.
Having a minimum of 7-9 years of hands-on work experience.
SAP Administration, Support packages, Printer config, BEx installation, Solution Manager.
Will need to support ECC, PI, BW, APO, GATP, BODS systems.
Good to have: Azure, cloud, Sybase & MAXDB database.
Preferred: SAP Basis certifications. Expertise in preparing detailed technical documents.
Flexible to work in different shifts as per project need.

Responsibilities
- Problem troubleshooting and resolution for escalated calls.
- SAProuter setup and OSS configuration.
- Setting up SAP Logon groups, offline/online backups at SAP level and backing up (redo logs – online redo logs and offline redo logs with respect to Oracle).
- Naming conventions for backup tapes, database restoration and recovery, SAP installation/re-installation and configuration.
- Planning and managing support packages and kernel patch upgrades, client copies/transports.
- Planning and executing database upgrades, database verification, Oracle parameter review and analysis and recommendations for changes to optimize performance.
- Increasing online redo log groups, evaluating results of the DB system checks monitoring and management, configuration of EWA.
- Designing, setting up and reorganization of SAP system landscapes, defining standard operating procedures for backups and restoration. Change management etc.
- Checking and managing CBO statistics, automatic note application through SNOTE, printer, S COT configuration, DB and index reorganization.
- Resolution of dead locks and timeouts, maintenance and monitoring of DR standby server, if available.
- Homogenous system copy, configuring/re-configuring system log/alert thresholds.
- Team lead entire basis support personnel, guiding the team technically in all areas of service defined within SAP BASIS areas.
- Coordination with and supporting the functional team as per requirements, profile/role management and authorization management and recommendations based on best practices during day-to-day operations.
- Implementing & management SAP Support Practices, report generation & presentation. Good communication & presentation skills.
- Responsibility of entire Basis operation and internal and external escalations.
- SAP security activities like role creation, assignment etc.

Schedule
Required schedule availability for this position is Monday‑Friday (05:30 am to 05:30 pm PST). The shift timings can be changed as per client requirements. Additionally, resources may have to work on weekends for any urgent business requirement.
