The ideal candidate has strong SAP BASIS, HANA expertise, and proven leadership with extensive stakeholder engagement. Location preferences include Hyderabad and Bengaluru with other locations as options.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in SAP BASIS administration and delivery.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience leading large teams (50+ members preferred).
• Strong technical expertise in SAP BASIS, SAP HANA, system administration, performance tuning, upgrades and migrations.

SAP BASIS Manager

Experience: 12+ Years (including 5+ years in a leadership/people management role)

Location: Hyderabad and Bengaluru are preferred followed by Other Locations

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Manager to lead, manage, and mentor a team of 60+ SAP professionals while ensuring the stability, scalability, performance, and strategic direction of SAP landscapes.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation in SAP BASIS, proven leadership capabilities, and extensive stakeholder management experience.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & People Management

• Lead and manage a team of 60+ SAP BASIS consultants, engineers, and leads.
• Drive team performance, capability development, resource planning, and succession planning.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Manage team utilization, career growth, and performance evaluations.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for senior business and IT stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with customers, leadership teams, vendors, and partners.
• Provide regular updates on service performance, risks, escalations, and improvement initiatives.
• Drive executive-level discussions and governance meetings.

Service Management & Governance

• Ensure adherence to ITIL-based service management processes.
• Lead incident, problem, change, and release management activities.
• Define and monitor operational KPIs, SLAs, and continuous service improvement plans.
• Manage escalations and drive timely resolution of critical issues.

Strategic & Program Management

• Support SAP transformation and modernization initiatives.
• Drive operational excellence, automation, and process improvements.
• Manage project delivery timelines, risks, budgets, and resource planning.
• Partner with enterprise architects and SAP leadership on roadmap planning.

SAP BASIS Delivery & Operations

• Oversee SAP BASIS operations across multiple SAP landscapes and environments.
• Ensure high availability, performance, security, and reliability of SAP systems.
• Drive SAP upgrades, migrations, patching, system refreshes, and transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business-critical SAP applications.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of overall experience in SAP BASIS administration and delivery.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience leading and managing large teams (50+ members preferred).
• Strong technical expertise in SAP BASIS, SAP HANA, system administration, performance tuning, upgrades, and migration activities.
• Proven experience in stakeholder management and client engagement.
• Experience managing large-scale SAP environments and support operations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
