Job summary

PwC Acceleration Center India is seeking a SAP Basis Manager to lead the SAP landscape in a dynamic, global client environment. You will manage installation, configuration, administration, development, and support of SAP products across S/4HANA, PO, BOBJ, and BODS, while guiding teams and maintaining high standards.

You will oversee 24x7 production support, collaborate with diverse teams, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 10+ years of experience in SAP BASIS.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support the SAP Basis landscape including SAP S/4HANA, PO, BOBJ, and BODS environments.
• Oversee system administration.
• Provide 24x7 production support ensuring high availability and rapid problem resolution.
• Monitor performance and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with BASIS, functional, and technical teams for seamless integration and change management.
• Manage SAP transports, client copies, and system refresh activities.
• Administer SAP Solution Manager for landscape monitoring and incident management.
• DB administration for SAP-supported databases (HANA, Oracle, SQL Server).
• Implement and maintain security standards, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.
• Support SAP PO workflows, interfaces, and integration points.
• Manage and optimize SAP BOBJ and BODS for reporting and data integration.
• Prepare documentation and knowledge transfer for process improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for development, testing, and deployment.

As a SAP Basis Manager, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing operational efficiency by analyzing client needs, implementing software solutions, and providing training and support for seamless integration and utilization of business applications. Within our Digital Core Modernisation practice, you will specialise in utilizing and managing SAP software and solutions, focusing on installation, configuration, administration, development, and support of SAP products and technologies.

As a Manager, you will lead teams and manage client accounts, focusing on strategic planning and mentoring junior staff. You are accountable for project success and maintaining standards, motivating and inspiring others to deliver quality. • Manage and support the SAP Basis landscape, including SAP S/4HANA, PO, BOBJ, and BODS environments.
• Oversee system administration

• Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues while minimizing downtime.
• Coordinate with BASIS, functional, and technical teams for seamless integration and change management.

• Administer SAP Solution Manager for landscape monitoring and support.
• Perform database administration and support activities related to underlying DB platforms (e.g., HANA, Oracle, SQL Server).
• Implement and maintain security standards, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Conduct root cause analysis for repeated issues and implement long‑term solutions.
• Support SAP PO workflows, interfaces, and integration points.
• Manage and optimise SAP BOBJ and BODS environments for reporting and data integration.
• Prepare documentation and knowledge transfer for continuous process improvement.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support development, testing, and deployment activities.

What You Must Have

• At least a Bachelor's degree
• At least 10 years of experience

Oral and written proficiency in English required.

What Sets You Apart

• 8+ years of proven SAP BASIS experience with hands‑on work on SAP S/4HANA landscapes.
• Strong experience supporting SAP Process Orchestration (PO), BOBJ, and BODS environments.
• In‑depth knowledge of SAP system architecture, installation, and configuration.
• Experience in 24x7 production support for large, complex SAP landscapes.
• Proficient in applying SAP patches, upgrades, and kernel installations.
• Strong expertise in SAP transport management and client administration activities
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager for system monitoring and incident management.
• Database administration skills on SAP‑supported databases (HANA preferred).
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with a proactive approach.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with global teams.
