Job summary

Birlasoft invites an experienced BASIS LEAD to join its SAP practice in India. The ideal candidate will oversee S/4HANA landscapes, ECC-to-S/4HANA upgrades, and security administration while aligning with ITIL processes.

You will lead Basis operations for RISE with SAP deployments, manage audits, coordinate with SAP Cloud Operations, monitor performance, and drive patching and lifecycle upgrades across multiple SAP environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years SAP Basis experience across ECC and S/4HANA.
• Proven experience leading S/4HANA upgrades (ECC to S/4HANA conversions).
• Hands-on with RISE with SAP S/4HANA (Private Cloud Edition preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead Basis operations for RISE-managed S/4HANA landscapes.
• Manage the audits.
• Serve as the primary technical interface with SAP RISE Cloud Operations.
• Monitor system performance and ensure SLA compliance.
• Manage transport landscape strategy, client administration, RFCs, printers, and interfaces.
• Plan and execute patching, maintenance, and lifecycle upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

• 8+ years of SAP Basis experience across ECC and S/4HANA landscapes
• Proven experience leading S/4HANA upgrades (including ECC to S/4HANA conversions and S/4HANA version upgrades like 1909/2020/2021/2022/2023)
• Hands-on experience with RISE with SAP S/4HANA (Private Cloud Edition preferred)
• Strong exposure to SAP Security (Roles, Authorizations, User Administration) and audit compliance
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or equivalent

• Manage the audits
• Serve as the primary technical interface with SAP RISE Cloud Operations
• Monitor system performance and ensure SLA compliance
• Manage transport landscape strategy, client administration, RFCs, printers, and interfaces
• Plan and execute patching, maintenance, and technical lifecycle tasks such as Support Pack Stack updates, Kernel upgrades, HANA DB revision upgrades, and Fiori Frontend/UI5 upgrades

Technical Skills – Must Have

• SAP S/4HANA Basis Administration
• Expertise in S/4HANA Upgrade (SUM, DMO, Maintenance Planner)
• SAP Security (PFCG, SU01, SU53, STAUTHTRACE, SUIM)
• Core transactions/tools: STMS, SM37, SM50/66, ST22, SM21, ST02, DBACOCKPIT, ST03N, SPAM, SAINT, SUM, Maintenance Planner
• Strong understanding of RISE with SAP operating model
• ITIL-based Incident, Problem, and Change Management
