Job summary

Infosys is seeking an experienced SAP Basis administrator in India to join our consulting team. The role requires strong SAP Basis knowledge, SAP Solution Manager familiarity, and the ability to work with offshore and multi-cultural teams.

The candidate will contribute to solution design, project planning, and 24x7 support readiness as part of digital transformation initiatives. This position is based in Kolkata and demands client interfacing and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in SAP Basis administration.
• Experience with SAP HANA, OS/DB Migrations and Cloud is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose customer issues and design solutions within SAP Basis area.
• Own parts of proposal documents and provide inputs for solution design.

Responsibilities

• A day in the life of an Infoscion As part of the Infosys consulting team, your primary role would be to get to the heart of customer issues, diagnose problem areas, design innovative solutions and facilitate deployment resulting in client delight.
• You will develop a proposal by owning parts of the proposal document and by giving inputs in solution design based on areas of expertise.
• You will plan the activities of configuration, configure the product as per the design, conduct conference room pilots and will assist in resolving any queries related to requirements and solution design
• You will conduct solution/product demonstrations, POC/Proof of Technology workshops and prepare effort estimates which suit the customer budgetary requirements and are in line with organizations financial guidelines
• Actively lead small projects and contribute to unit-level and organizational initiatives with an objective of providing high quality value adding solutions to customers. Additional Responsibilities:

Technical and Professional Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in SAP Basis administration
• Minimum 1 end to end SAP Basis implementation/Migration/Upgrade full life cycle.
• Monitor and maintain SAP systems environments (Sandbox, Development, QA, Production and DR etc.,).
• Install, configure, maintain, and support multiple SAP landscapes and 3rd party tools.
• Perform core Basis functions (e.g., System Refresh, support packs, kernels, transports, DR drills)
• Research and implement solutions for Basis functionality in the areas of performance monitoring, tuning,
• Contribute to the architecture design of the SAP systems.
• Well versed with the entire business suite of SAP Solution Manager.
• Experience in SAP HANA, OS/DB Migrations and Cloud
• Experience of working with global delivery models including offshore, multi-cultural teams, functional teams other stake holders.
• SAP Certification will be added advantage.
• Willing to work in 24x7 support environment.
• Experience with project management
