Job summary

Cencora in India is seeking an Administrator II – System & Applications Administration to manage SAP Basis, monitor SAP landscapes, and ensure high availability across on-premises and Azure. The role requires hands-on administration, upgrades, certificates, and cloud integration.

You will collaborate with server, compute, and security teams, handle SAP networking needs, and lead performance tuning and DR/HA activities for SAP HANA.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of SAP BASIS administration experience.
• Experience with monitoring SAP solutions using SAP Solution Manager, New Relic APM, and Azure monitor.
• Knowledge of SAP landscapes across ECC, S4HANA and cloud environments.
• Hands-on with Linux OS HA setups (Pacemaker) for SAP.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Primary point of contact for all SAP Basis issues related to the SAP environment.
• Architect HA for SAP HANA and SAP Central Services.
• Coordinate with infrastructure teams to optimize SAP workloads in Azure.
• Participate in IT Change Management and approve SAP changes.
• Support in performance tuning and troubleshooting SAP instances.

Job Details

Administrator II - System & Applications Administration

• 4+ years of overall experience with SAP BASIS and should have knowledge and experience on Administration, monitoring and operations of SAP solutions.
• Monitoring of SAP and 3rd party solutions using SAP Solution Manager, SAP LVM, New Relic APM, EWA, Azure monitor for SAP.
• Sound knowledge of all BASIS activities Refresh, Upgrades, Certificates etc.
• Primary point of contact for all SAP Basis issues related to the SAP environment and performs related duties as assigned.
• Exposure to SAP landscapes (ECC, S4HANA, Solman, PI/PO, LVM, RMJ, Router, CC) across on-premises, public and private cloud environments, mostly Azure.
• Good understanding of SLES and RHEL and ability to architect HA setup involving Linux Pacemaker and similar supported HA solutions for SAP HANA DB and SAP Central Services
• work closely with infrastructure teams (Server, compute, security) to troubleshoot and resolve problems and suggest best practices of running SAP workloads in Azure.
• Understanding of SAP Networking requirements involving, External and Internal connectivity to SAP and other applications using Proxy, Load Balancer, Application g/w, creating requests to get Firewall rules and NSG rules needed by the application.
• Provide performance tuning, problem analysis for SAP instances. Ideally cloud based deployment experience mostly Azure.
• Will participate in the IT Change Management process and validate/approval all SAP related changes.
• Good communication skills, Ability to work in a team and work flexible hours to support engagements in different time zones.
• HANA expertise : provide expert level guidance on SAP HANA database administration, High availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), performance tuning, security, workload, and data volume management.
• Good exposure in HANA Database upgrades, table partitioning, pacemaker clusters.
• Handle HANA troubleshooting: HANA replication, participate in failover/failback drills, slow queries, expensive statements, table growth, log segment issues, backup failure.
• HANA Certification - added advantage.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience.

• ITIL, ITSM Certifications

Work Experience

2+ years of directly-related or relevant experience, preferably in application support or system/application/database administration.
