Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in New Delhi is seeking an experienced SAP senior professional to lead design, development, and support across ECC/S/4HANA modules. You will drive technical solutions, ensure best practices, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 8–15 years of SAP AMS experience, strong incident/change management, and proficiency in ABAP and integrations. Bachelor’s in engineering/CS with SAP or project management certifications is preferred.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years of experience in SAP AMS/Support roles.
• Solid techno‑functional understanding of core SAP modules (FI, MM, SD, HR, PP).
• Experience leading application support and enhancement engagements.
• Strong experience in incident, problem, change, and release management.
• Working knowledge of SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA architectures.
• Relevant SAP or project management certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP design, development, enhancement, and support across SAP modules (ECC/S/4HANA).
• Oversee ABAP, Interfaces (IDocs/RFCs/APIs), Forms, Enhancements, Workflows and integrations.
• Ensure compliance with SAP best practices, development standards, performance, and security.
• Own L2/L3 support delivery, SLAs, KPIs, and service quality metrics.
• Lead incident, problem, and change management; ensure permanent fixes.
• Coordinate with Basis, Security, and external vendors for resolution.
• Support audits, transport management, and system health checks.
• Lead estimation, planning, and execution of SAP enhancements and minor projects.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Demonstrate project & delivery skills in AMS/DevOps/Agile/hybrid models.
• Maintain strong stakeholder communication and reporting.

Required Technical Skill Set

Location of Requirement : New Delhi

Experience required : 8 to 15 years

Required:

Solid techno‑functional understanding of core SAP modules (e.g., FI, MM, SD, HR, PP – depending on landscape).

Proven experience leading application support and enhancement engagements.

Strong experience in incident, problem, change, and release management.

Working knowledge of SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA architectures.

Good-to-Have

• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA migrations or upgrades.
• Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager, ChaRM, and monitoring tools.
• ITIL / PMP / Prince2 / Agile certifications.
• Experience in global delivery and multi‑vendor environments.

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

Technical & Solution Leadership

• Lead SAP design, development, enhancement, and support activities across SAP modules (ECC / S/4HANA as applicable).
• Understanding of technical areas including ABAP, OO ABAP, Interfaces (IDocs, RFCs, APIs), Forms (SmartForms/Adobe), Enhancements, Workflows, and integrations.
• Ensure compliance with SAP best practices, development standards, performance optimization, and security guidelines.

Drive technical root cause analysis and resolution for complex production incidents.

Application Support Management

• Own L2/L3 support delivery, ensuring adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and service quality metrics.
• Lead incident, problem, and change management activities; ensure permanent fixes and prevention of recurring issues.
• Coordinate with functional teams, Basis, Security, and external vendors for issue resolution and system stability.
• Support audits, transport management, and system health checks.
• Lead estimation, planning, and execution of SAP enhancements, custom developments, and minor projects.
• Translate business and functional requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Project & Delivery Skills
• Demonstrated experience in project planning, estimation, delivery tracking, and risk management.
• Experience working in AMS, DevOps, Agile, or hybrid delivery models.
• Strong stakeholder communication and reporting skills.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.

Relevant SAP or project management certifications preferred.
