Job summary

Protiviti India is seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Consultant to lead and support installation, configuration, upgrade, testing, and optimization of SAP S/4HANA systems in Mumbai.

You will manage ECC to S/4HANA migrations, administer SAP HANA and SAP BTP, ensure system performance, and implement SSO, CTS and data integration. Mentoring juniors and collaborating with cross‑functional teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on SAP BASIS experience.
• Experience with ECC to S/4HANA migrations and HANA/SAP BTP.
• Knowledge of CTS, SSO, SDA/SDI, and SAP security management.
• Strong communication, documentation, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support SAP BASIS installation, configuration, and upgrades.
• Optimize SAP S/4HANA systems and perform performance tuning.

Job description

Job Title:SAP BASIS Consultant

• Lead and support installation, configuration, integration, upgrade, testing, and optimization of SAP S/4HANA systems.
• Hands on cloud-based environments like SAP RAISE and SAP PUBLIC CLOUD
• Execute ECC to S/4HANA migration projects, including system conversion and data migration.
• Administer SAP BTP and other cloud-based SAP environments.
• Perform performance tuning, problem analysis, and system administration for SAP HANA databases and SAP instances.
• Conduct client copies, system refreshes, and troubleshoot SAP system issues.
• Manage SAP Correction and Transport System (CTS) and SAP Security protocols.
• Implement and support Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions for portal and backend systems.
• Develop and execute SAP data archiving strategies aligned with enterprise goals.
• Review and apply recommendations from SAP Early Watch reports.
• Collaborate with SAP development, configuration, and infrastructure teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Identify and present opportunities for productivity improvement, cost reduction, and quality enhancement within the SAP landscape.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Provide technical expertise and functional insights into SAP BASIS systems and applications.
• Research and propose innovative SAP technologies to solve business challenges.
• Foster strong working relationships with SAP application owners, IT infrastructure teams, and third‑party service providers.
• Mentor junior analysts and developers, offering technical guidance and support.
• Communicate project status and technical updates effectively to stakeholders.
• Utilize SDA (Smart Data Access) and SDI (Smart Data Integration) for data connectivity and integration.
• Apply knowledge of SAP migration tools and methodologies to support landscape transformation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
