Job Title: Senior SAP ABAP Consultant with S/4 Conversion Experience

Location: India (offshore)

Job Summary: As a Senior SAP ABAP Consultant with S/4 Conversion Experience, you will play a pivotal role in our organization's transition to SAP S/4 HANA. You will lead and contribute to the development, customization, and enhancement of ABAP solutions to ensure seamless integration and functionality within the S/4 HANA environment.

Key Responsibilities

• SAP S/4 HANA Conversion: Lead and participate in planning, execution, and management of ABAP development tasks related to conversion of systems and processes from legacy platforms to SAP S/4 HANA.


• ABAP Development: Design, develop, and optimize custom ABAP programs, enhancements, and modifications to meet organization requirements within the S/4 HANA landscape.


• Data Migration: Collaborate with data migration teams to develop and maintain ABAP scripts and programs required for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) during migration.


• Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise and guidance on SAP S/4 HANA-specific ABAP development, including OOP, CDS views, and Fiori app development.


• Code Review and Quality Assurance: Review and assess ABAP code quality, ensuring adherence to coding standards, performance optimization, and best practices.


• Configuration and Customization: Customize and configure SAP S/4 HANA ABAP solutions to meet organization specific requirements and business processes.


• Testing and Debugging: Collaborate with testing teams to assist in unit, integration testing, and debugging of ABAP programs to ensure functionality and reliability.


• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of ABAP development processes, code changes, and enhancements for future reference and compliance.


• Mentoring and Knowledge Sharing: Mentor junior ABAP developers and share knowledge and best practices to enhance overall skill set of team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.


• Proven experience as Senior SAP ABAP Consultant, with minimum 3 years hands‑on experience in SAP S/4 HANA conversion projects.


• Strong understanding of SAP S/4 HANA architecture, ABAP development, and best practices.


• Proficiency in SAP tools and technologies, including ABAP programming, CDS views, and Fiori app development.


• Experience with data migration strategies and ABAP development for SAP migrations.
