Job summary

Deloitte Netherlands is seeking an SAP ABAP Consultant Associate Manager to lead implementation, ongoing operations, and maintenance of SAP applications and technology. The role focuses on delivering technical excellence and timely issue resolution.

The candidate will transform requirements into technical specs, develop tests, and drive integration with SAP modules, while maintaining quality and SLA commitments in a global context.

Qualifications

• ABAP Objects oriented development experience is required.
• Web Dynpro ABAP experience is essential.
• Exposure to Workflow and HR ABAP is preferred.
• Experience with Forms (Adobe Interactive/Smartforms) is desirable.
• Knowledge of Enhancement points/BADI/Userexits is important.
• SAP Gateway with oData/ SOAP & REST Services should be known.
• XSLT transformations knowledge is a plus.
• Strong English communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical expert, providing quick issue turnaround.
• Develop plans and estimates for build, testing, and implementation.
• Translate business requirements into technical specs for coding.
• Develop, test, document, and execute unit, integration, and acceptance tests.
• Perform performance tuning across multiple functions.

• Ensure integration activities meet SLA, including scalability and availability.
• Manage operational support and on-call requirements.
• Contribute to maintenance, incident & problem management and development of SAP modules for Deloitte Netherlands.
• Write Technical Design and Testing documents; work with Functional Lead.
• Suggest changes for SAP rollouts and enhancement packs with Lead Consultant.
• Customize and test changes based on Functional/Technical Design documents.

Job Description

SAP ABAP Consultant Assistant Manager
SAP ABAP Consultant specializing in implementation, and on-going operations and maintenance of SAP
applications and technology for IT Support, The Netherlands.

Work youll do

• Act as the technical expert, ensuring quick turnaround in identifying application issues and providing timely solutions.
• Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project.
• Transform business function requirements into technical program specs to code, test and debug programs.
• Develop, code, document and execute unit tests, systems, integration and acceptance tests and testing tools for functions of high complexity.
• Perform performance tuning to improve performance over multiple functions
• Engage other technical team members in the design, delivery, and deployment of solutions.
• Ensure integration system activities including monitoring the technical architecture (particularly scalability, availability and archiving) meet all SLA's.
• Manage operational support, performing work during change windows as well as providing on call support as required by the team.
• Would be expected to work as part of team in charge of maintenance & support (Incident & Problem Management) and new functionality (development) of the internal SAP system for Deloitte Netherlands
• Should be capable of writing Technical Design and Testing documents
• Should be capable of working together with Functional Lead Consultant
• Would be expected to optimize the application/ SAP modules, provide pro-active measurements and be critical towards issues and problems.
• Would be expected to initiate changes linked to current/ new roll out of SAP Support Packages & Enhancement Packs together with Lead Consultant
• Would be expected to customize and test based on Functional Design and Technical Design documents for Changes and/ or Problems.

The SAP team focuses on design, implementation, and on-going operations and maintenance of SAP applications and technology. Professionals will have hands-on access and exposure to the latest technologies and thought leaders.
