Job description

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP RAP Developer with 710 years of hands‑on experience in SAP ABAP development, including strong expertise in the RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), CDS Views, OData services, and SAP S/4HANA. The ideal candidate should have experience developing scalable, high-performance SAP applications and working closely with functional and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SAP applications using ABAP and the RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
• Develop and enhance SAP solutions using ABAP on SAP S/4HANA.
• Create and optimize Core Data Services (CDS) Views, including associations, annotations, and data models.
• Develop and expose OData services using SAP Gateway and RAP.
• Work with RAP business objects, including managed and unmanaged scenarios, behavior definitions, behavior implementations, and service definitions and bindings.
• Implement validations, determinations, actions, and authorization checks within RAP applications.
• Develop and maintain ABAP Objects, enhancement frameworks, BAdIs, user exits, and custom reports.
• Optimize application performance using ABAP performance analysis and debugging tools.
• Collaborate with SAP functional consultants, solution architects, and business stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
• Participate in technical design, code reviews, unit testing, defect resolution, and deployment activities.
• Follow SAP development standards and best practices for clean, maintainable, and reusable code.

Required Skills

• 3-10 years of overall experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Strong hands‑on experience with SAP ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
• Good knowledge of ABAP on HANA and SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong expertise in CDS Views, including advanced modeling, associations, and annotations.
• Experience developing and consuming OData services.
• Hands‑on experience with RAP behavior definitions, behavior implementations, service definitions, and service bindings.
• Strong knowledge of ABAP Objects, debugging, performance optimization, and error handling.
• Experience with SAP development tools, including ABAP Development Tools (ADT) in Eclipse.
• Knowledge of SAP transport management and standard development lifecycle processes.
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAP Fiori elements and SAPUI5.
• Knowledge of SAP BTP and SAP cloud application development.
• Experience with RAP draft handling, EML (Entity Manipulation Language), and transactional applications.
