Job summary

Propel Industries in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, seeks an SAP ABAP Developer to design, develop, test ABAP programs, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms (RICEF), and OData services for SAP Fiori/UI5 applications.

You will work with SAP functional consultants on complex projects, upgrade scenarios, and performance optimizations while delivering technical documentation and knowledge transfer to the team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain SAP ABAP programs including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms (RICEF), custom applications and Rest API's.
• Work on complex SAP projects, upgrades, and enhancements involving multiple SAP modules.
• Develop and maintain ABAP objects including classical and interactive reports, ALV reports, BAPIs, BADIs, BDCs, Smart Forms, Module Pool Programs.
• Collaborate with SAP functional consultants to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and optimization of existing ABAP code.
• Work on SAP enhancements using User Exits, Customer Exits and Enhancements.
• Provide technical documentation, testing support, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Develop and integrate OData services for SAP Fiori/UI5 applications to enable modern, responsive user interfaces.
• Utilize SAP Enhancement Framework (BADI, Implicit/Explicit Enhancements) to introduce custom logic without modifying standard code.
• Support integration scenarios using RFCs, BAPIs, and APIs between SAP and third-party systems.
• Develop SAP Scripts and enhance output layouts using Smart Forms based on business requirements.
