Job summary

Awign Enterprises is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP developer to lead architecture, design and development across multiple SAP projects in a fast-paced environment. The role requires hands-on development and the ability to drive technical projects with an onsite/offshore team in Bengaluru.

The candidate will oversee ABAP development for S/4HANA FI/SD/RAR modules, create OData services, and contribute to performance and quality through rigorous reviews and best practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of SAP ABAP experience on S/4HANA solutions.
• Experience with SAP NetWeaver Gateway and ABAP CDS; RESTful ABAP is a plus.
• Experience with Web-Dynpro, SAP UI5/Fiori and SAP HANA-related concepts.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our Enterprise Business Systems team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing, participating in and consulting on the architecture, design, development and implementation of multiple software development projects of various sizes complexity as well as Maintenance Enhancement releases. The candidate will have a proven ability to drive technical projects and provide leadership for a team of developers in an onsite/offshore delivery model in a fast-paced environment as well as perform in a hands-on development capacity.

Responsibilities

• Have experience providing technical leadership to development teams to ensure development of solutions within established architecture and coding/technology standards.
• Provide technology and design thought leadership to internal groups
• Assume primary ownership for assigned projects and work with various technology communities to achieve project objectives.
• Conduct design and code reviews, ensuring proper coding, conformance to standards and best practices, including performance, reliability, scalability, extensibility and high quality.
• Ability to multi-task, lead multiple efforts and projects and deliver solutions
• Participate in cross-training exercises, including application development knowledge transition planning and delivery
• Participate in cross-departmental groups for the purposes of standards development, third-party tool evaluations, community of professionals, etc.
• Participate in Production Support Escalation if necessary, for high-severity issues
• Provide applications development and enhancement functions, including analysis, design, coding, testing, and object transports using SAP ABAP Development Workbench
• Design and implement technical solutions for conversions, interfaces, enhancements, reports, forms and workflows using call transactions, user exits, bolt-ons, standard data transfer, dialog programming, SAP Script.
• Develop custom solutions using customized transactions and the enhancement framework including user exits to provide additional functionality not available within standard SAP.
• Document and perform unit, integration, and regression testing in support of new implementations and releases.
• Demonstrates the ability to translate business needs into technical architecture requirements and understands the long-term and short-term perspectives of an IT investment situation
• Support and promote integration relationships between IT and business functions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of SAP ABAP experience, developing ABAP on S/4 HANA solutions, S/4HANA FI, SD and RAR modules of SAP.
• Experience in design, developing OData Services using SAP NetWeaver Gateway and ABAP CDS; knowledge of RESTful ABAP programming model
• Experience in development and fixing large scale custom Web-Dynpro Applications, consuming or exposing web services (i.e., SOAP, REST) and BOPF framework.
• Strong experience to SAP to 3rd party integrations
• Knowledge of Upgrade projects/Support Pack applications and should have done SPAU resolution/OSS note applications
• Experience in BRF+, Workflows, Classical/ALV/Interactive Reports, Smart Forms/ADOBE forms, Dialog Programs and BDC programs and developing interfaces using ALE/IDocs, Flat Files, RFCs, BAPI
• Excellent knowledge of ABAP Debugging, SAP Code inspector other SAP standard tools with respect to development
• Strong experience in SAP Fiori design, development
• Knowledge SAP BODS, HANA XSA, Hana XSA and HTML5/ UI5 (Fiori)/ JavaScript is a plus
• SAP HANA Technical Concept and Architecture, Data Modelling using HANA Studio, ABAP Development Tools (ADT), Code Performance Rules and Guidelines for SAP HANA, ADBC, Native SQL, ABAP Core data Services, Data Base Procedures, Text Search, ALV on HANA, and HANA Live models consumption is plus
• Experience in working in Implementation, Upgrade, Maintenance and post production support projects
• Understanding of SAP functional requirement, conversion into Technical design and development using ABAP Language for Report, Interface, Conversion, Enhancement and Forms in implementation or support projects
• Certification in SAP ABAP would be Preferred.
• Should have very good communication skills.
• Should have good experience in working with different cross functional teams.
• Experience in at least 2-3 full implementation projects
