Job summary

Ahead is seeking a proactive Team Lead for Salesforce Applications in India to manage a team of Salesforce Administrators and optimize our Salesforce environment. You will lead configurations, automation, and data management while guiding delivery with strong communication to stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of Salesforce experience, leadership background, and proficiency in CPQ, Billing, and integrations with MuleSoft. Agile/SCRUM experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience, including senior-level responsibility for Sales Cloud, CPQ, and Billing.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring Salesforce Administrators; supervise a small team is preferred.
  • Strong people leadership skills including coaching, delegation, performance feedback, conflict resolution, and team development.
  • Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments with JIRA and familiarity with integration patterns.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of Salesforce Administrators, including regular one-on-one meetings, goal setting, performance feedback, career development, and day-to-day support.
  • Set team priorities, assign work, balance capacity, remove blockers, and ensure commitments are delivered with quality and timeliness.
  • Provide technical and functional guidance, review configurations, and promote Salesforce best practices across the team.
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for issues, coordinating resolution and communicating risks to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Administer Salesforce environments including user setup, roles, profiles, and security settings.
  • Configure and customize Salesforce objects, fields, layouts, validation rules, and automation tools (Flows, Process Builder).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions; support CPQ and Billing configurations.
  • Lead or support integrations between Salesforce and other systems using middleware like MuleSoft; monitor performance and security.
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards to support decision-making and team visibility.
  • Document configurations and processes; conduct training and knowledge-sharing for end users and teams.
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases and recommend platform enhancements.

We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Team Lead, SaaS Applications to manage and optimize our Salesforce environment while leading a team of Salesforce Administrators. The ideal candidate will combine deep experience in Salesforce configuration, automation, user support, and data management with strong people leadership, delivery management, and stakeholder communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of Salesforce Administrators, including regular one-on-one meetings, goal setting, performance feedback, career development, and support for day-to-day execution.
  • Set team priorities, assign work, balance capacity, remove blockers, and ensure commitments are delivered with appropriate quality and timeliness.
  • Provide technical and functional guidance to the team, review proposed solutions and configurations, and promote consistent standards, documentation, and Salesforce best practices.
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for team members and operational issues, coordinating resolution and communicating risks, dependencies, and status to SaaS Applications leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Administer and maintain Salesforce environments, including user setup, roles, profiles, permission sets, and security settings.
  • Configure and customize Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, and automation tools (Flows, Process Builder).
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate needs into actionable work for the team, and implement scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Support CPQ and Billing configurations, ensuring accurate quote-to-cash processes.
  • Lead or support integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems using middleware tools (e.g., MuleSoft).

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data models, security, and automation tools.
  • Experience with integration tools and patterns for connecting Salesforce with other systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification required; Advanced Administrator or Platform App Builder preferred.
  • Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments with JIRA.
  • Familiarity with quote-to-cash, billing, or financial process automation.
  • Exposure to Snowflake, Power BI, and Certinia would be a plus.

AI & Automation Proficiency
  • Working knowledge of AI-assisted tools and workflows (e.g., generative AI assistants, AI-powered coding/testing tools, or agentic AI platforms) relevant to the role's core function.
  • Ability to apply effective prompting techniques to accelerate research, documentation, coding, or analysis tasks.
  • Comfortable learning and adopting new AI-enabled tools as part of day-to-day work, with a willingness to continuously build AI fluency.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, including data privacy, security, and verification of AI-generated outputs before acting on them.
