Job summary

PhotonX Technologies is seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to remediate and extend a large Sales Cloud org for a real-estate lender. You will consolidate automations, redesign lead routing, and harden security while enabling a robust release pipeline.

This role requires 5+ years of hands-on Sales Cloud development and strong Apex, Flow, and security expertise. You will work in a Git-driven environment, coordinating with Sales Ops and Marketing Ops to ensure UAT and regression checks

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Salesforce development, Sales Cloud focus.
• Strong Apex (bulkification, test coverage, FLS) and SOQL knowledge.
• Deep Flow experience, record-triggered flows, migrate off Workflow/Process Builder.
• Solid grasp of security model: profiles, permission sets, sharing, OWD.
• SFDC CLI/Metadata API, Git, CI/CD for Salesforce (GitHub Actions, Copado or similar).

Responsibilities

• Consolidate three automation layers into a single pattern per object; migrate legacy rules to Flow.
• Design a auditable lead-routing model and rework validation, duplicates, and matching rules.
• Migrate from profile-centric security to permission-set models; fix security bypasses.
• Harden integrations with Named Credentials, retire obsolete callouts, design two-way sync with loan orig system.
• Retire unused metadata with impact analysis and observe-before-delete discipline.
• Rationalise data model by cleaning up overlapping statuses and fields.
• Work within a Git-based sandbox → QA → staging → production pipeline with automated tests.
• Partner with Sales Ops and Marketing Ops on design decisions and support UAT/regression checks.

About The Role

You'll join a small team remediating and extending a large, heavily customised Sales Cloud org for a commercial real-estate lender. The org models the full Lead → Account → Opportunity → Loan lifecycle across roughly 215 objects, 145 flows, 17 Apex triggers, 48 profiles and 17 managed packages, with outbound integrations to an external loan-origination system.

About The Role

You'll join a small team remediating and extending a large, heavily customised Sales Cloud org for a commercial real-estate lender. The org models the full Lead → Account → Opportunity → Loan lifecycle across roughly 215 objects, 145 flows, 17 Apex triggers, 48 profiles and 17 managed packages, with outbound integrations to an external loan-origination system. Your job is to make that org safe to change again — consolidate its automation, rebuild routing and data-quality controls, modernise security, and put a proper release pipeline underneath it — while feature cycles ship in parallel.

What You'll Do

• Consolidate three coexisting automation layers (Apex triggers, workflow rules, record-triggered flows) into one predictable pattern per object; migrate legacy workflow rules and Process Builder to Flow.
• Design and build a single, auditable lead-routing model (assignment rules, Flow or Omni-Channel) and reactivate or rewrite validation, duplicate and matching rules in agreed batches.
• Migrate from profile-centric security to a permission-set / permission-set-group model, remove person-specific sharing rules, classify and protect borrower financial data, and fix code that bypasses record- or field-level security.
• Harden integrations: introduce Named Credentials, retire obsolete callout flows, and help design a two-way sync with the loan-origination system (Azure Functions fronting QuickBase).
• Retire dead metadata — around 110 unused flows, 350 unused fields and duplicate package namespaces — with impact analysis and an observe-before-delete discipline.
• Rationalise the data model: overlapping status picklists, redundant team-role fields, and five overlapping broker objects.
• Work within a Git-based sandbox → QA → staging → production pipeline with automated regression tests; no direct changes to production.
• Partner with Sales Ops and Marketing Ops on the design decisions, and support UAT and dashboard regression checks.

Must have

• 5+ years hands-on Salesforce development, primarily Sales Cloud.
• Strong Apex (trigger-handler frameworks, bulkification, test coverage, sharing and FLS enforcement) and SOQL.
• Deep Flow experience, including record-triggered flows and migration off workflow rules / Process Builder.
• Solid grasp of the security model: profiles, permission sets and groups, sharing rules, role hierarchy, OWD.
• Salesforce CLI / Metadata API, Git, and CI/CD for Salesforce (GitHub Actions, Gearset, Copado or similar).
• REST integration from Salesforce: Apex callouts, Named Credentials, External Services.
• Track record untangling mature, over-customised orgs — not just greenfield builds.
• Platform Developer I certification.

Nice to have

• Platform Developer II, Sharing & Visibility Architect, or Application Architect.
• LWC / Visualforce.
• Account Engagement (Pardot) and dialer/cadence packages such as Revenue.io.
• Azure Functions or QuickBase exposure.
• Lending or financial-services background.
