Job summary

Contactx Resource Management seeks a Salesforce Azure DevOps Lead to implement scalable release processes and manage end-to-end deployments across multiple orgs. You will set up CI/CD pipelines, manage sandbox provisioning, and optimize data deployments within Azure DevOps.

The role requires extensive Salesforce DevOps experience, strong Git and CLI skills, and an ability to coordinate across teams for smooth production releases.

Qualifications

• 12 years IT experience with Salesforce DevOps implementation using Azure DevOps and good understanding of Salesforce Metadata API.
• Good knowledge on pipeline creation in Azure DevOps with understanding of Copado is good.

Responsibilities

• Implement scalable CI/CD solutions including release management and end-to-end deployment processes.
• Set up, maintain and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce apps.
• Create automated release in Azure DevOps for multi-org deployments and sync branches with the latest code base.
• Leverage Salesforce Metadata API for deployments including Managed/Unmanaged packages.
• Implement Git branching strategy using Salesforce CLI and VS Code.
• Monitor and improve DevOps processes: CI/CD, sandbox seeding, data deployments, production releases and rollback plans.
• Provision environments, manage sandboxes and data handling.
• Automate recurring tasks and optimize Azure DevOps workflows for releases.
• Document release issues and drive continuous improvements in the release process.
• Ensure seamless movement of updates from development through staging to production and perform sync down/back-merge processes.
• Maintain operational administration in Salesforce, backups, recovery, security and performance monitoring.

Job Description

• Responsible for implementing scalable solutions including continuous delivery, optimization, monitoring, release management and support the end-to-end release process.
• Setup, maintain and troubleshoot of CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce apps.
• Hands-on in creation of SFDX project in Azure DevOps, creating automated release in ADO for deployment in various orgs at once, maintaining/back syncing all the lower branches with the latest code base.
• Good understanding on Salesforce Metadata API, Package deployment (Managed/Unmanaged and Locked/Unlocked)
• Implement GIT Branching strategy using VS code integrated with the Salesforce CLI tool.
• Setting up, monitoring and improving DevOps processes: CI/CD, connection setup with Odaseva running data deployments (sandbox seeding) to test features, running final releases to production and rolling back or restoring if anything goes wrong
• Responsible for Environment provisioning, sandbox management, data management
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring activities and identifying long-term options in Azure DevOps
• Take ownership and continuous improvement of the release process by documenting release issues and developing plans to improve process or automation
• Ensure all Salesforce updates made seamlessly move from development through staging to production and perform sync down process (back-merge process)
• Maintain solutions for operational administration in Salesforce, Metadata/Data backup & Recovery, Security/ Performance Monitoring.

Year of Experience

• 12 years of IT experience with Salesforce DevOps implementation using Azure DevOps and good understanding of Salesforce Metadata API.
• Good Knowledge on pipeline creation in Azure DevOps with understanding of Copado is good. Should understand the complexity of deployment behind apex classes triggers and custom metadata.

Technical Skills

• At least 7+ years experience in Release/Deployment process using Azure DevOps is must with knowledge on Copado would be plus
• Should have experience in Salesforce.com, Git, ANT, Azure DevOps, preparing package.xml
• Understanding of Salesforce Metadata API's
• Knowledge of YAML scripting to automate the pipelines in Azure DevOps is must
• Experience in building pipelines and automating deployments in Azure DevOps
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and solution-oriented individual
• Well-versed in integrating Code scan tools in Environment Pipelines
• A good team player, ability to learn quickly, strong written and spoken communication and should be able to handle the client conversations
