Role/Job Title: Sales Manager - Gold Loan

Function/Department: Gold Loan

Job Purpose

The role entails generating gold loan business through different channels. It includes administering and training a team of Direct Selling Teams to expand gold loan business in that locality/branch.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Ensuring monthly sales targets are met with acquisition in NTB (New to Bank) and ETB (Existing to Bank) customers.
  • Pitching existing liability customers for gold loans.
  • Ensuring month-on-month growth in EOP (Execution Only Platform) assets for gold loan business per branch.
  • Achieving fee income of at least 1% of total disbursals.
  • Performing regular customer follow-ups for timely renewal of cases to minimize pending renewals.
  • Coordinating with valuers periodically.
  • Ensuring customers pay valuation charges as per product norms.
  • Maintaining healthy collections with minimal defaults and reducing fresh flow in Bucket X.
  • Tagging PSL (Priority Sector Lending) and adhering to PSL norms.
  • Supporting branch liability team during audits and communicating properly with customers before any packet opening.
  • Conducting marketing activities in the local market to generate NTB gold loan customers.
  • Willingness to work extensively in the field and travel regionally on short notice.
  • Performing ad-hoc activities as required.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrating personal drive and a positive work ethic to meet tight deadlines in demanding situations.
Education Qualification

Bachelor’s in Engineering, Technology, Management, Computers, or Science. Post-graduation: MBA.

Experience

2-10 years in retail banking, preferably with exposure to lending products.
